This hard drive is very good, I liked the most was its price, buy on black friday, good copy fast and reliable

My HP Pavilion 23 recently had the hard-drive crash and I needed a reliable replacement. I went to Best Buy and found the Seagate 1 TB internal drive readily available. I bought it and brought it home. It was super easy to replace. I reloaded my system backup on to this drive and was up and running very quickly. I would highly recommend this hard drive to anyone looking for a replacement drive or additional hard drive space.

Item is fast and reliable, easy to install had it installed in less than 10 minutes.

My hard drive on my computer was reaching max limit, slowing everything down. Furthermore, I am running Windows 7, and most of the software that I use won't work with Windows 10, so this hard drive allowed me to expand my storage and keep my current system. This resulted in saving over $1000! Easy to install, no data loss, excellent product!

I purchased this hard drive for some extra internal storage. I regularly work on both video and audio editing which takes up a lot of space on my main hard drive. I've used Seagate hard drives in the past as external storage in my raid array towers, and have not been disappointed. I would recommend them to my friends and colleagues!

Replaced system drive used Windows restore from windows image made when drive reported issue installed new one booted up ran restore removed drive and all was good again. Perfect...btw the Seagate software failed cloning. I suggest making a windows image and recovery disc for this issue, or use full version of Acronis.

I fought and fought an old hard drive that was corrupt. Brought it to the geek squad they looked into it and told me the bad new I already knew. Bought this drive and it works like a dream! I purchased this to put in an external case to use with my Dish digital video recorder. Plugged in and let it format and it's working flawlessly so far. You can store a lot of movies on a 1 TB hard drive. Great hard drive at a great price.

I'm going to give this drive a great review. As an IT guy I prefer Seagate. I've had great luck and performance with their drives. Warrant has been changed from 5 years down to 3. Only complaint but that has become a standard in the hard drive industry unless you purchase more high end products.

The product is a good value for the money, is quick and runs quietly. The only issue I had is not with the drive itself but with an issue with the SATA format. I bought the drive to replace a failed drive on a system that originally came with Vista (64) and was upgraded to Win7. Due to the original disk failure, I need to reinstall Vista, and then upgrade to Win7. The Win7 upgrade failed repeatedly. After consulting both Microsoft and HP and Seagate with no sucess, I returned the product and replaced with WD product. Had same issue. The Geek Squad was able to stop the Win7 install while in process and reformat the drive to allow installation to proceed to completion. Apparently this is a known issue with the current base format of the new SATA drives. It would have been nice to know that from the documentation and not spend days to get resolution. The drive itself worked fine for the time I had it installed and running Vista only.

the drive is quiet, fast and well worth the value. Only problem I had was there was supposed to be a disk inside with software to mirror an existing drive so you can save your current OS and software installed but did not come with one... (I have yet to check seagate's website to see if its also downloadable atm) other then that lil setback I would recommend it for day to day home computing use.

Seagate is always a reliable source for hard drives; and this one is no different. I have a program that tests drives and this one proved to have no bad sectors -- unlike the old one that died without warning. Its speed and temperature are optimal and it tests out 100% Healthy.

It was a good fit for me when I recently had a boot drive failure on a desktop we use as a server in our house. Quick and painless installation, and good performance, not mind blowing, but an upgrade from the older Seagate it replaced. Satisfied with my purchase.

I have a HP DC5100MT and My old 40GB western digital had a bad sector that gave me blue screen of death, so I needed a replacement drive ASAP. I brought this one because the the store advertise the WD Black version as the same price instead of 99.99 as shown on-line. The great: This one had all the cables I needed. SATA power cable, SATA cable, screws, and jumpers for older models I would have gotten this one anyways. I cloned my HD on to this and it runs very quiet, I can't even tell the computer is on! After formating you get to use 931 GB! It also runs much cooler then my older hard drives! The question: The reason I gave this product a 4 out of 5 because I am questioning the life of my new Hard drive. I run Active Hard Disk Manager and the hard drive is showing its health status between 54-59% The ever first time I ran it with the new HD, the HD health was at 60%.. Maybe that is norm with new HD? I would rather see a new hard drive be at 90% or better... I only had this hard drive for 2 days, I will monitor the performance. This computer is used as a retired personal computer instead of a workstation environment. It is normally left on 24/7 unless I take the computer down once a month to clear the dust from the computer. I use this computer for gaming/ homework/ and compiling code. ( It says I can attach an image, so I will attach a picture of the HD stats here if anyone is interested or wants more info. The images are bit blurry though.)

Second drive of this type. Reliable and easy to install, Decent value.

Original WD drive was dying. Just barely managed to get off all files and OEM backup software. Drive installed effortlessly. Restored the dirve to original condition using Dell's backup files. Very fast and very quiet. It's like a new computer again.
