Works Great, easy to install

The first one replaced my original operating system drive and this one replaced my backup drive. The installation was easy and I believe it is very reliable. The first one is over a year old and have had no problems. That is the reason I purchased another Seagate.

I thought my ol' Gateway Easel PC was a Goner...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Thanks to my friends at the Geek Squad who installed my new hard drive I find myself gravitating back to my windows 7 Gateway with my new harddrive as opposed to the windows 8 I have! Go Figure. Don't head for the PC burial ground when you have a catastrophic issue. If you're not a techie like me consult with the Geek Squad and see if they can salvage your old faithful computer like new! I am glad I did now I have 2 computers just in case one of them acts up! You just need a lot of office space! Glad I didn't just chuck my old computer. It's working good as new with my new hard drive. Thanks, Geek Squad!

It's a hard drive

I definitely notice the difference between this one and my gaming machine (which has dual-SSDs in RAID 0), but it is still pretty quiet. I purchased it to replace a failed drive in a Dell machine, and because it was on sale. Price was just right.
