The hard drive went out in my Mac so I purchased the hard drive to replace the defective one. It works perfectly and was easy to install but it took quite awhile to re-install all the programs.

My HD failed in my computer so I purchased this to replace it. It did the job and was a easy fix.

I had to reinstall the hard drive and new OS, was easy to install and is quick to use...

I am currently using two of these bad boys to create a high speed RAID0 configuration and it has been working or great so far with read speeds up to 375mbs via USB 3.0. 2tbs of high speed that may not be as fast as a ssd but close enough without giving up storage space.

Umm... it's a hard drive. Never had any problems with Seagate drives, and haven't had any problems with this one. Good price for a lot of storage. Used it in a new installation of Ubuntu -- recognized by the system with no problems.

Install was fine, drive worked out of the gate and is still functioning.

I am not a computer whiz by any stretch of the term, so I can't exactly tell you if it lives up to its advertised numbers. However, I installed this into my computer with a new copy of Windows (my old hard drive died), and it works. My computer turns on now, so that's good.

Worked for what it was intended, easy install good price

My previous hard drive failed so I needed a replacement. The price and size were acceptable so I purchased this model. I was quite surprised by the usefulness of the Seagate Cloning software. It was easy to use and copied my data from the failing hard drive falwlessly.

I don't know much about hard drives but I do know it fixed my problem and still going strong.

I needed a hard drive to replace my hard drive on my Dell desktop that just took a dump. This 1 TB drive worked great. installed Windows 7 on it and I was up and running in no time. I've purchased this 1TB internal drive in the past and haven't had any issues with them.

However, I purchased this drive, got home and opened (a sealed box) only to find no drive but several c cell batteries. I returned it to the store and was offered a replacement. I insisted that it be opened (it was a sealed box) only to find again a three pack of d cell batteries. Salesman got a third drive and I insisted he break the seal and insure a drive was in the box. It was and I took my purchase home. Kind of hard to have comfidence in purchasing a best buy product in a sealed box only to find out someone has tampered with it. Not sure if this is a quality control issue but some controls should be implemented to insure this does not happen again. Probably not to good for Best Buy;s reputation. not sure I could recommend BB again without at least sharing my experience. Dave Dimmick

Good price point for the features. Capacity and speed are worth the price.

It is fast and works Great for me I use it for backup my operating system.

It's hard to review something like a hard drive, because they usually work fine at first. Time is the true test, so we shall see, but right now it works great.

I wanted to keep my PC and this allowed me to save my all in one with an upgrade a great deal!

Had an emergency with my primary home desktop when Windows 8.1 would not boot. Read online that I could add a new hard drive and re-install Windows and then add back the older hard drive. All said and done, I was able to recover the data and this drive worked as expected. It did come with the flat cable and other accessories that was missing in the competitor hard drive box available in store.

Dropped this drive into my 2006 Mac Pro and it just works. No problems with installation setup or operation. Have been using Seagate Barracuda drives for years and have never had a failure.

Great replacement for worn out hard drive. My 3 year old hard drive was starting to go, so I had to replace it. It was easy to transfer my external hard drive files to the new hard drive and I was back up and running in one day.
