The drive itself is fine. You have to be careful when buying newer hard rives for older computers though. This drive did not work with my computer recovery software. I bought this drive to replace a drive that crashed on me. The drive installed fine, was seen by the computer, but when using my factory recovery discs, it kept giving me an error at the end of my installation saying it could not complete the installation. After, many days of searching the internet, I found a post that advised about the HP recovery software for my model not being compatible with newer "AF" Advanced Format drives. Cracked open the case, and sure enough the drive had an "AF" on it. In the end, I ended up putting it into my newer computer as an additional drive and it works fine. Finding a new, older non-"AF" drive is another story...

These Seagate "desktop" drives are the same models that use to be called Barracuda.

My hard drive on my computer gave me a fatal warning. It was acting up for days. This is my business computer so I needed to transfer all the info on to a new drive. I bought the Seagate and installed it and did a complete hard drive transfer in a couple of hours. Very easy!

Worked out of the box and had no problem putting in and loading up in the computer.

Haven't used the computer that much since drive was installed to replace the previous one. However, drive seems to be working fine. Geek Squad was able to download most of the programs that I had on the previous drive which went bad in lest than 2 years

I thought this hard drive would fit but it would not in my all in one gateway zx6961

the capacity and performance make this HDD a big deal and the price is right

So I bought this because an SSD I am using was having problems and I needed a drive to be able to copy to for troubleshooting purposes. Oh how I forgot how slow HDDs are!!! Other than that the drive works well no issues so far, but only time will tell if it holds up reliability-wise. Last point, hard to beat the price I paid for 1TB worth of storage.

I installed this drive in a Dell desktop to replace the OEM Hard Drive. It is a little noisy on boot but otherwise I haven't had any issues.

I bought this after my hard drive unexpectedly quit on me. I worried about how to format and get Windows loaded. Luckily I had my important stuff backed up. There was nothing to it just plugged it in and within no time I was back up and running.

One of the hard drives in my music server went on the fritz. This hard drive was a drop in replacement that has worked without issue for the past six months. Nothing special or taxing about this applicaction, and no problems with this drive.

I had a hard drive go out and needed a good replacement and this did the job.

I like that it is thinner than my other hard drives. No issues with it so far. I cloned my hard drive to it using an external box and it works as expected. I will buy another seagate next time I need a HD.
