    great drive. Bought the 2 TB for myself and the 1 TB for another computer. So much room, so no worries when installing steam games. Again, fomating is long but I am ok with that.

    cpu's original hard drive died. having kept the orginal startup disks, i decided replace the drive instead of the entire cpu. the seagate drive performs as well now as the one i purchased some 30 years ago building my first clone.

    Good cache size, only SATA 2 (3Gb/sec), 7200 rpm - best specs that most PCs can take advantage of in a spinning disk.

    Used this hard drive to replace one in a 7 year old Sony Vaio all-in-one. The original was also a Seagate, but lasted 7 years. This one worked first time after easy install. Time will tell how long it lasts!

    The Seagate 1TB SATA drive is a good drive for a main drive, slave drive, or a replacement for a failing existing drive. The only drawback to using it as a replacement for a failing drive is the lack of software in the package to clone the files to the new drive. This mandates finding software that can do that.

    I have numerous Seagate Hard Drives and this one works as good as all the others. As I mentioned above, Seagate Drives have yet to let me down. This particular drive is responsive, quiet and maintains a moderate temperature.
