This was a replacement drive for an older drive I used to store all of my important files on. It transferred quickly and is very quiet. Highly recommended!

This has been my go-to SATA drive as of late, and usually outlasts a majority of other components in my system. Highly recommended and very price effective.

Hard to load a operating system,no formatting disk came with hard drive

I love bestbuy because they match amazon but it wasnt needed for this because of the already low price. Very easy to install as well. I also bought a 3tb a few weeks later

I bought this after my HD crashed out of the blue. I will stick to this brand. I have tested and relied on this and it never failed nor give me any issues.

So, when you are installing a hard drive, you put the drive in and you throw in the CD, which is the road to disaster here. The CD is for a monitoring program not for installation. It is possible to waste a fair amount of time learning this little fact. Maybe they just wanted to force me to read the paper instructions? Still, it would not hurt to name the software so that its function was clear. Or label the disc "not for installation." On the one hand it was clearly my mistake, on the other, I am sharing because I am sure others will make the same mistake. With the above warning,

I bought this to replace an older 500GB IDE drive. Once the needed Seagate DiscWizard software was downloaded from the Seagate web site the drive could be prepared for use.

I had to purchase a new hard drive,as I wanted to retain my old Win 8 hard drive, just in case. This was installed without incident and works well for me.

It does what I wanted it to do. And it works. What else can you ask for?

bought the hard at the order it a head of time and it was there waiting for me had no problems. came home install it and put the wins 10 on it works great.

I had a drive go bad and was able to replace it with the exact same drive and divided some files up to prevent a future failure. I am happy with the drive and the price.

I have been buying Seagate HD for along time and they are consistently great performers! Never been even close to the 1 TB!

Had one fail in my Raid drive bought this one as an immediate replacement. Seagate sent me a replacement for the bad one no charge so this is an additional backup drive.

This hard drive installed easily. I needed a hard drive for my older system after my old one died. This hard drive got my pc up and running like new.

Actually bought this drive to replace old drive. I already have a 1tb external and decided to get another one for new drive, since I had a 32bit sys I wanted to do the 64bit, games are better, load time is better....a good drive. Hurray for technology that created Plug and Play, my first computer wasn't that easy. The price wasn't to bad, now days, but could have been a few dollars less. Rotation speed, data transfer rate and cache buffer size are what I mostly liked about it. Overall, depending on your OS/Rig, not a bad drive, not my first Seagate, not my last.

This was replacing the aging hard drive in my home system. I have used this brand in the past to upgrade or in new builds and have had no problems.

I bought this hard disk for my new computer I built and it works great. 1TB is plenty enough room for my system. It is also fast (SATA III), boot up time is quick.
