Ok for a beginner to learn to install a hard drive.

I really haven't put it through any hard use. I'm using it as an external drive in a USB 3 configuration. USB 3 is resident on the Gigabyte A75-D3H Motherboard. I've been using Seagate drives for many years and have had no failures-knock on wood.

Works great so far Have had no problems. Just what I needed.

I have used Seagate drives for years and they have been very dependable. I use them for backing up data. Best Buy usually carries them at a good price and I always buy more when they go on sale.

Great for a diyer. This is part of a SATA system and the two drives did a great job of replacing the old unreadable and backing up the old readable drives. I wish I had gone with this brand instead of a less expensive and cheaper two years ago.

I have been using these now for some time. I used to use WD hard drives, but had repeated failures with the drives I was purchasing off the shelf. I have had no issues with performance or reliability with these Seagate drives.

I decided to try this hard drive out where I was previously buying the Western Digital drives... I noticed these Seagates make a little more noise then the Western Digital, but seem to function just as well.. Will keep testing...

Needed a harddrive and this good deal was on sale at the time...

I had a raid drive fail this was a match dropped it in works like a charm. Could have got it cheaper online at other sites but best buy is an easy place to get it same day thanks for carrying more computer parts in stores.

I had been complaining that my laptop didn't have enough memory for my pictures and recipes. My son bought this for me for my birthday. He's a tech guy who works in computer programming. It's the one he chose-so that's all the endorsement I need.

I lost my original hard drive and needed a replacement. The Seagate 1TB was 4 times larger then the one it replaced and therefore will hold all my photos and vids until I have a chance to burn them to DVDs for the rest of the family.

Not a bad portable hard drive for backing up your photos and important files from your computer. So far so good. Had it for about 6 months now and works every time I use it to back up stuff from different computers.

You can never go wrong with Seagate. I've been building my own computers since the early '90s, and I've had one problem with a bad hard drive, and it took a total of 4 days to get a new one. Buy this with confidence!

Added this to my desktop system for a full time backup hard drive capability. It is fast, quiet and full of space to store a mirror copy of my primary hard drive.
