The Seagate 1TB hard drive offers plenty of storage space, reasonable speed and a great sale price. I am using this as a storage location for virtual machine instances and have had no issues either with installation or operation.

It worked great for the computer and helped out a lot.

I have been using these drives for the last 6-7 years on 5 systems. It seems they are reliable for 5 years or so and then they fail as if it is programmed so. By the time smart system warning "bad drive, backup" is seen, the drive is already not working (no advance warning). It is OK as long as you replace them before 5 years.

Pretty much a plug and play device. Best value for the money. Seagate reputation and price were my main factors for buying this drive. I am RAID striping it with the second drive I'm going to buy. Thanks Best Buy and Seagate!

If I need a hard drive, I go to best buy, they usually have the best selection. I think these hard drive companies intend for the grooves to fail in three years so you have to buy another one, so it's always good to havE a backup.

Seagate has become our "go-to" for hard disk drives. We used Western Digital for years but their quality has diminished and they tend to fail more often over the last year or so. Seagate drives are better.

Replace 300 Gig older hard drive. easily loaded 300 G of video games by using a USB port. The Seagate hard drive works a lot faster than the replaced hard drive. So far everything associated with the Seagate works fantasticly.

This has great space, and seems to be reliable. It installed very easily, and has not given me a lick of trouble. I think it runs a bit louder than I'm used to, but that's not terrible in and of itself.

This is a middle of the road HDD, low capacity by today's standards, warranty is only 2 years. With that said I was able to get it at my local Best Buy the same day I needed it, to replace a failing HDD. Oh, and the price wasn't too bad.

It is a 1tb hard drive. So far I have had no issues with the hdd and it formatted quickly and installed a clean version of windows. Only time will tell how long it will last and that is the important part.

Bought one to back up a friends drive, and be offline archive for a while. Copy was perfect, as one would hope. Bought a second, because of the good price. Eventually will put both into RAID of some kind.

I was looking for a second hard drive as a backup. I saw this on sale for a good price and decided to get it. It is good for my use, but for the same price you can get one that is 6 GB/s unlike this that is 3 GB/s.
