Great Hard Drive. Cable sucks
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Actual hard drive is amazing. Bought it for my Ps5 but the cable that it comes with is pure garbage. Every time the hard drive got touched, or wiggled a little bit, it would bring up that the actual hard drive failed. I switched out the cable for another one I had and that seemed to fix the problem.

Just shell the money out for a cloud service.

It wasn't working with the instructions they provided so I contacted Seagate's tech help. Their tech help helped me code in the right format and the final population the computer generated was an error. The tech help then told me the product was defective and I should return it. I'm unsure if this was truly the case or what was wrong, but needless to say, I wasn't impressed and decided to just bit the bullet to pay for a monthly cloud service subscription instead.
