I love the Seagate 4 Tb external drive. It is nice and portable, fast and a massage among of storage. I get all my music and most of my digital movie collection on it so I can them anywhere and not have to worry about having internet connection to play anything.

This external portable hard drive comes exactly as advertised. I needed a bigger size external drive to back up large document, photo and media libraries while ensuring the actual physical size of the drive remained small enough so that it was portable. This drive provides ample storage capacity and has excellent read and write speeds all at an affordable price point. The drive is quite, stays cool to the touch unlike other drives that would heat up and I have not encountered any issues with it. Great drive that I would recommend to anyone.

I needed more storage as I have been using a lot on my computer lately and bought a PC with only 250 GB to begin with. This drive works perfectly. With the USB 3.0 it seems like it is an internal drive and I don't have to find an extra power slot if I am traveling since it is powered through the PC.

I've enjoyed this drive for a couple months. The space is awesome and allows for me the flexibility to virtually take my entire network with me. The only downside I've noticed is that the drive will run hot sometimes when overworked.

I did not do extensive testing with this device connected to USB on my Windows 7 pc but the testing I did showed it faster than my WD Black 1tb installed as a data drive. I am using this as a safepoint for a WD my cloud. It requires the second USB port as the My Cloud doesn't provide enough power through its single USB 3.0 port. It would connect fine but any writing would result in failure. It is not very fast attached to the My Cloud but that is fault of the my cloud from what I can tell. Now if they would just package 2 SATA III SSDs in a single enclosure for install on a SATA III internal connector we would have something good.

I bought this to store my movie library on and back up my computer both. 4tb plenty big so far. The HD movies do take up quite a bit of space, but so far it's been big enough. It is very fast and portable.

Bought this to extend the space available on my Xbox One. It powers from the USB ports, so no external power needed. Runs slightly faster than the internal drive, plenty of space for more games.

I had originally purchased a different drive as my offsite backup. However, my local BB had just gotten this drive in stock. The size and capacity for this drive made it a better option for me. It has a very high transfer rate, is very portable in size, and has a metal construction for more durability. I am very happy with this and would highly recommend.

This drive is extremely fast connected to a USB 3 port. However I was negligent in thinking it came preloaded with encryption such as the WD drives. Using VeraCrypt to solve this problem though. Seagate, add a simple encryption utility to these drives.

This External Hard Drive is small, but has a lot of storage room inside & is fast as well. I'm very pleased & considering purchasing another.

I didn't see the speed of the drive listed on the packaging. It ended up being too slow to use for Pro Tools sessions. It is a very small drive and has plenty of space if you are looking for backup/storage device.

This is a great little portable USB Hard Drive. It's a little heavy but that's acceptable due to the fact it has a 4 TB capacity.

Bought this to upgrade the capacity of wife's Xbox One. It works perfectly, and is extremely fast. Note that it requires both USB plugs to be connected for it to draw enough power to be recognized by the X1.

Works well. Great size - external drives are getting cheaper and cheaper but I think this one will hold me for a while,

I use this drive primarily for photo and video archival, and editing with Adobe Llightroom, Photoshop and Premiere. Large file transfers over USB three are super fast. I can edit videos and photos directly off of the drive, and performance is great. I'd say this is the best deal currently out there for a fast, high-capacity external drive. Highly recommended!

The drive is packed with lots of gigabytes and speed. Well worth it for a portable on-the-go drive.

Ease of installation and use is great. It was up and running very quickly. Great product.

I have bought a number of these for portable storage and they work great. I do find that the drive has a hard time being recognized by my computer (MSI Stealth Pro 212) if it is using a lot of memory doing other things such as torrenting or gaming. Otherwise an excellent drive and I currently have three of them. Data transfers much more quickly to this drive than a Seagate desktop 5 TB external hard drive.

I purchased to create restore points for my WD MyCloud. The drive is fast and stable when connected to my computer but the MyCloud slows it down a bit. I highly recommend this to anyone using it as a backup location. Due to the nature of this Raid 0 design, I would not use it for long term storage of single copy files.
