The drive it self for the price is fantastic. However, Seagate offer pre-formatted version for PC and MAC and unfortunately the store close to my home only had the Mac version. The setup manual will instruct you to download a certain driver in the Seagate website that has been taken down and is no longer available because it is not compatible with the new Window 10. You will need to call Seagate Tech Support and they will instruct you step by step how to manually format the SSD Drive to use NTFS file system format.

This powerful storage device is compact, slick design and so easy to install. I have the Mac version. Had no instructions except pictures showing plug in and plug USB in the computer. And...literally...that is all I did and I was on my way to storing files.

I had several Western Digital hard drives that failed on me...so I switched to Seagate...awesome choice...never let me down so far!!!

I purchased this size in order to consolidate all my other little external hard drive's I love it so much data in one place instead of umpteen other places. Ease-of-use for sure I would highly recommend this product to others!

I have had multiple Seagate drives over the years and have two of the 2tb version of this drive. 4tb is only slightly larger than the 2tb slim drives, but speed and performance is far better than the slim. Overall a great purchase!

I love that this comes in 4 TB, and is still small and easily transportable. I have not used all the space yet and it feels nice having so much flexibility, space-wise. Be sure to format this to something other than Fat32, if you want to save files larger than 4GB.

I needed a small drive to use on my MacBook Pro for Time Machine. Since I use the computer for business I always backup everything. The drive is small, and quiet. No setup needed, it was plug and play. Read and Write speed is fast and Time Machine works perfectly with it.

My MacBook Air was running a little slow because of the excess amount of data and work I do when traveling. Purchased this to replace the slow external hard drive I had. Now my laptop is running Smoothly! Worth the purchase.

It was hard to find technical specs n this drive -- it's thicker than other external drives, I wanted to make sure it wasn't two drives stacked in a RAID 0 array, doubling my chances of having a catastrophic failure. With a bunch of reading and research I was able to finally find one place site that makes it pretty certain it's a single drive, extra platter, using Seagate's new Shingled Magnetic Recording (SMR) technology to eke out 4TB. So, I'm happy to have that much space in a portable USB drive!

I use a company phone, this external is small and easy to carry around to transfer photos and other information from my company phone to this private server. No work related documents here ¬_¬

I load lots of photos on my computer and the files are big. Without storage like this, I would have overload quickly. Lots of room on this external hard drive for a moderate price. A good value for the money and easy to use and install.

Seagate 4TB are well worth the buy and last, as they work seamlessly and the extended recovery drive programs offered by Seagate to great to have to ease the minds of people always worried about the what if the drive breaks down.

NIce compact size with lots of storage space. I like the fact that it is powered through the USB cable. I use it with my MacBook and keep it in my computer bag so I can do a backup wherever I am and whenever I want. Easy to use.

The reviews said it was easy to use, just plug it in and click start to backup my computer. It was not that easy, there was a program to download and then it took 7 hours to back up. I'm still not sure if it actually worked.....maybe if I were more computer literate I would feel better about this product. Probably great for someone more knowledgeable then myself.

bought this to back up my iMac with Time Capsule - working flawlessly. My motivation was because I started converting all my 8mm video tapes to files for my computer for storage and conversion to DVD, store in the cloud too

Price was good. Easy to set up. I have lots of extra memory now.
