I've been using the drive for about a month and a half so far. It backed up my laptop and iphone with no difficulty. . I did have an early issue with the data transfer running extremely slow. I managed to find a fix for this though by searching for "External USB drive, slow transfer." Overall, the drive meets my needs.

Another nice thing is that it comes with simple start up directions with pictures on paper! Very simple to follow.

But it does what it is designed to do, save files and back up data. Seagate is a respected manufacturer when it comes to Hard Drives.

Great Drive for 25 days

Plugged into back of mom's television--FRIED THE DRIVE. Maybe it's not the drive's fault? Either way, my trust in Seagate is shot, the files are unable to be recovered from both repairmen and software, and the warranty states I'm getting a refurbished drive and my files are gone. Don't do what I did and place your trust into this product.

Worked as I was hoping.

It gives me what I need. It was not plug and play with my lap top but I did get it to work. As been fine ever since.
