software is easy to use, the backup works very well over a wireless network

Easy to set up. Worked perfectly with apple time machine backups. Remote access from web or phone is nice, but a little slow.

So far it is great. I like the private and public settings. this makes it easy to share pics with the grandparents. Also easy to save straight from my phone and tablet. two thumbs up!

Initially I had a few issues with having this visible on my network, the instructions miss on a few items. Google was my friend. I figured it out and it works great. Once I got it squared away it was very easy.

This could have been a really good product, but it is lacking in the area is IOS support. The drive is suppose to have IOS support, but it doesn't work as advertised. While I am able to backup my pictures, videos, and documents; I am unable to just copy a pic or doc for anyone who has acces to the device to also acces the pics. It says you can copy the files into the public folders, but that is just not the case. I should have bought the Western Digital drive instead, but this one was on sale so I decided to try it.

this unit is nice, you can post your documents and files to your own cloud. you get up to 5 logins and it even shares media to different devices as well

Excellent device that is working wonderful. Lot's of capacity and very good speed for streaming. Upload of big files will take a while depending on your network traffic.

Easy fast installation. Network recognized immediately. Easy to change from DHCP to hard coded IP. Easy to secure.

Great product. Easy to set up. Easy to access data. Very very grossly overpriced. I bought the 2TB and later found the 3TB model much much cheaper.

This is a pretty good toy but I was hoping it would be more versatile. You can create multiple users for it to uploading, but only one account can remotely access it, or vice versa- something silly like that. Also you can't organize it or rename folders to make sense, so I have numbered folders rather than descriptive. And like I said, the app has issues. Hopefully they'll iron out these details, but otherwise it's a decent cloud storage device.

Newer people may not know how to sign into ssh to quickly transfer files from USB. Otherwise it's good for its price and an easy backup solution

I wanted a large sized HD that I could connect to my miniMac and my PC so that my music library and photo's could be shared by both. With my current wired external solution that just wasn't working out. The great thing about this wireless drive is that I can access the content from any device I have on my wireless network and with apps, I can even access it from my phone, ipod or tablet. Just what I was hoping for.

This is an excellent back up hard drive. It's really wash to set up & easy to use.

This is a great solution for in-home-network storage. Macbooks with fixed memory require creative solutions. This shared storage solution frees up memory while still giving access to large files and those we don't access often, and eliminates the need to plug in and drag around the external hard drive.

The Seagate Cloud Storage External Hard Drive was highly recommended for protection of data on my computer - having it gives me peace of mind.

This is absolutely what I was looking for. Having the ability to access my data from anywhere is such an awesome feature. It was very easy to set up, and it walks you through using it step by step. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that needs extra storage and wants to access it even if they are on the road, and the price is unbeatable.
