Bought the ext had to store some games from a defective unit

I purchased the hard drive for my Xbox One because my memory was getting full. So far I kept the drive plugged in and placed in my game content and played as much as I wanted. Take it from a fellow gamer, if you want to expand your stuff, this is for you. I can't anything for people who use it for desktops and laptops, mainly because a lot of opinions have differed. But it's pretty solid if you want it just for your games.

Pros: So fast for USB. Hooked up to USB3 I threw 2TB of movies at it and it never, ever dipped below 120mbs on the copy. And it's silent and a great size. Got a little warm but not hot. Cons: I wish the cord was longer. Seriously, 18" is barely enough to get to the back of my case and put the drive on top, it's a stretch. The drive is too tall for a PS4 if you're thinking about that. Stick to the 2TB one. Other Thoughts: A great deal when it was on sale. If I ever fill this up with backups I will certainly buy another.

This is a great value. It is a small and sleek design which I love. The capacity it holds is nice. Easy to set up.

If you are looking for just storage, this is just for you. No added software, just plain old hard drive space to add to your laptop or desktop and NO power adapter required. Make sure you have USB 3.0 or better to take advantage of the fast files transfer speeds, although it will still work with USB 2.0, but it will be considerably slower. Fast, simple, easy! Buy today!

Got this to store my extensive collection of BrazilianFartPorn (IYKYN ), it's perfect, the USB 3.0 makes for fast HD playback and I love that it's portable so I keep it on me at all times, you never know when the moment might arise. My only regret is that I didn't get a larger one as mine is almost full, oh well, time to buy another.

I bought it to save a lot of videos I had on my laptop which is a little old now, so I wanted to prevent any loss of videos. I works very well and it is very easy to use. The connection cable is a little short, but not a big deal. Overall, I can say I liked the product.

I've been using this external HDD for my Xbox One X for two years now and I've never had any issues with it. I currently have 75 games installed, including Overwatch, Red Dead Redemption 2, Black Ops 4, and more, and still have 2.5 terabytes of space.

Fast, quiet and most important; reliable. I have had this for a good amount of time now and I have always been impressed with how fast it is (I copy large files) and when this little guy is plugged into a USB 3.0 SS port, it is just as fast as an internal platter drive!

I like it. Good drive at good price. I use this Seagate to store Bluray & DVD' s that I have backed up & sometimes watch for convenience. It is obviously very portable too. It is quicker loading than Western Digital though perhaps slightly less reliable.

I'm still amazed. 4TB in a size just a little larger than a deck of cards. It doesn't seem that long ago that I paid 3 times a much for a desktop drive with a 2TB capacity that was ten times bigger. This is a great drive at a great price

I purchased this for some additional backup storage on my IMAC, plugged in and had it working in a matter of minutes. Very easy to use, fast and overall best value IMO. I only wish I had purchased the 8TB version.

This external hard drive is perfect I can download all my games wit no problems

I needed some extra space and look on the internet and saw this small in size expansion drive and ordered it and wa la i am greatly pleased with the performance and speed.

Bought this to expand the memory of my PS4. Easy installation, works great.

I like this design better than western digital. Performance is similar to western digital but the sale price beats western digital for the exact storage capacity. Highly recommended.
