Upon placing the CD in the player and pressing <PLAY> you will immediately recognize the distinctive sound and riffs that Collective Soul are known for. This is quite apparent on the first three songs back-to-back-to-back ("This", "Hurricane", and "Exposed"). A respite follows with some softer material/mid-tempo (for them) but the entire CD reads like any of their past works with some fine material here. Track 8 "Am I Getting Through" has that classic Collective Soul punch and track 10 "Tradition" is a power ballad with production and sound that is not unlike classic U2, but make no mistake it is CS and not U2! Any CS fan waiting for a new CD will be quite pleased.

I stumbled upon Collective Soul putting out a new album. At first I was going to hold off on buying it, but when I read reviews on another online retailer while I was in BB and saw that they were all five stars, I decided to take the plunge. I am glad I did. I love the first song "This." There are some good riffs on this album and they stick in your head. Also, the customer service at this BB in Wentzille, MO was excellent!

Collective Soul said they were returning to a more guitar driven sound and they didn't lie. There are more solos and catchy riffs throughout this album. Only gripe is after a 6 year wait there are only 11 songs. They should've at least had a deluxe edition with some bonus tracks.

This Album was originally due last year. While the wait was frustrating, it was worth it. For the most part the songs are really solid. Collective Soul said they upped the guitars for this one. Whatever, it sounds good.

Overall, I've been a fan of CS since they first released Shine. This is more of their signature sound and a good cohesive album. I'd definitely recommend to anyone who has enjoyed their previous music.

A typically good set from Collective Soul. Mostly rockers!! Although a little bit short, could have been a couple songs longer. But worth the money!

Great sound and songs that have both an old and new feel to them. You can tell they put heart into their music and sing it with the same. Would recommend to any Collective Soul fan.

I really liked this CD, so many great songs. This, Hurricane, Contagious, AYTA, Confession, Exposed. They keep it rocking. If you like Collective Soul's older stuff, you'll probably like the new album. Good stuff.

After all these years, Collective Soul is still underrated rated and after hearing this album...I still don't know why. Almost every song is top notch and it sounds as if it was well produced and put together. I highly recommend this album.

A really, really good CD, start to finish. Ranks right up there with their best stuff from the 90's.

This CS disc continues the with the same guitar sound after the original guitarist left. (which is a good thing). There are some really good songs, maybe four that i really like. The rest were just ok. Every band has a creative low point. I think CS has reached that a couple of albums ago. I do hope they continue to make music. I will still support them.

It's a good album. If you're a CS fan, it makes perfect sense to pick up this CD.

Awesome Collective Soul album from start to finish. Great songs with the usual Collective Soul sound.
