Could be better

However there are some complaints that are just so easy to fix its annoying. Cons: The length of the deck is not great, a bell and no horn, inflating the rear tire, battery life/range, plastic endcaps on handlebars.

Same years old air valve issue!

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wish I could give 5 stars this scooter deserves it except for the fact that it has the same issue with the tire air valve all the old versions had it’s been years and Segway is still selling valves that burst randomly mostly in the middle of the night waking you up! For this they deserve 0 stars but I gave 3 because the actual scooter is awesome the features are unmatched but I was forced to buy the Segway Xyber because I’m done with the valve issues with all their scooters!

I know for a fact the rear tire is extremely difficult to inflate. The front is easy. The range is less than the G2 in Sport Mode. I kinda wish I hadn’t sold my G2 and will likley return this one and repurchase a G2. I miss the range and the easier tire inflation.

QR code issues

Wanted the G3 max upgrade but just couldn't successfully scan the QR code. Bought 3 and could only get 1 to work, we need 2. Unable to scan means can't unlock via app to go 28mph. Got 1 to do 28, the other 2, sadly would only do 20mph. Really, really wanted theses scoots, called the company, again they had no answers. Looking online other people have had the same issue. So, we feel these are amazing well built scooters but for the G3max, the QR code was a problem. Yo Segway. You lost 2 sales. Figure it out and we'd love to buy a couple, for the $899 introductory price of course. Thank you.

Beyond pleased, would buy again!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Oh boy where to begin? Firstly im 100% pleased with my purchase!!! Id buy it all over again if i had to. I used this for commuting, and put a little more than 100 miles a month on this scooter. Ive had it for 6-7 months. Im used to riding skateboards, longbaords, snowboards, etc. And the balance and ease of use was VERY quick for me to learn. This scooter is just refined. While dual motors will out accelerate you for the same price.... This scooter is just refined. Its not fast for its price, but its refined. You have maps, apple find my, turnsignals, light, brake light, full suspension, large wheels, alarm system, bluetooth locking, traction control, etc. I found going full speed with slight hills, my range was about 6-8 miles. Much less than anticipated. The reason is stopping and going. Majority of my battery went to stopping and starting, if you have little to no stops, the range drastically increases. Also if you mimit yourself to 20mph top speed, and above all dont accelerate quickly your range goes up dramatically. But as my round commute was about 4 miles i had no issues accelerating. It took me about 20-30 yards to hit 20mph and 70 yards to get to 28mph. I rode many times in rains and even thunderstorms, NO ISSUES with the electronics NONE. However, I have to caution about using this in wet weather. that front tire will hydroplain!!! I was making a left hand turn about 20mph and that front tire slid out with no way to recover. If the rear tire slips, its not a big deal and easy to regain control, but when that front tire goes you just faceplant with no way to correct or stop the crash. That fall was much harder hitting than i expected because you just faceplant from an extra foot in the air. So while this scooter is more than capable of riding in wet weather be very cautious while turning in wet weather! Again, i rode maybe 10-15 times in heavy rain, no electronic issues what so ever. Only fell once and learned my lesson quickly! The bluetooth unlock feature is AMAZING and thats how i rode it, just walk up to the scooter with your phone on and she unlocks. However, it did have hickups every now and then and wouldnt boot the scooter and soft locked it. This was easily solved by just opening the app on my phone and then it reconnected and works perfectly. The breaks work fine, they grab well and i never had an issue of lack of breaking power. The suspension, i expected more because i was unfamiliar with electric scooters, i was expecting more of a motorcycle soft suspension. While the suspension does take out the drone of an asphault road so your hands and feet dont go numb, it does not smooth out larger bumps such at cracks in the road and such. Those you will still feel. But you wont feel that drone from asphault or rough concrete. The handlebars were at perfect height for me, the foot board was a little small i wear size 11 men shoes, and it was a little small for me. The first few days i naturally wanted to put my foot left foot on the rear tire. But after a while i found a comfortable riding position that the scooter allowed. The hook on the stem worked amazing for groceries, it says its rated for no more than 10lbs, i stressed and went past that limit (not by much) multiple times and it never broke or damaged. I have carried 7 bags of groceries with them strapped to my handlebars and that stem hook. Albeit not safe, it was doable. But it was perfect for small grocery runs The carrying position is so nice, its very easy to suitcase, I am 5'8" tall, and carried it up and down 3 flights of stairs every day. It was very easy to suitcase cary. However, i found i had to carry it with the handlebars behind me, because if they were infront i would bang into things. The longest charge i think i had was 2 hours. It charges very quickly. I wish the alarm was louder but it does work and you can even put your custom alarm sound on the scooter. Im ranting now, but i am VERY pleased with my purchase, beyond pleased. I would 100% buy it again, these segway ninebots are like the lexus or cadilacs of the scooter world. I am beyond pleased with this scooter, i didnt expect to like it as much as I do, and 28mph is more than quick enough. Although some days i do wish it was faster, i would remeber my hydroplain and be gald it was at 20mph and not 50mph. If your going to use this for commuting, DO IT!!!! It is amazing! A bike i have to leave outside, a motorcycle i ahve to leave outside and they can get stolen! Sure you can buy another or find it... but until you do, your stranded. With this scooter, i could take it inside my room and its sitting 3 feet away from me as i sleep and I know for a fact no one can take it! I can put it in a gorcery cart and do some shopping, i can cary it inside a store. I cannot recommend thia scooter enough!

Good for cruising

If you have any incline once in a while it’s not bad. But it’s missing power for evyday use and the battery does not hold up too god for some reason

The G2 was better than this " new & improved" mode
