Add a Donkey Kong game to my collection only makes playing the Wii U better.

This is the best Donkey Kong country game and I really like the 3ds/wii versions as well. Graphics are everything I want in a 3D platformer like great sound, music, gameplay and bosses that take time to learn to beat Ugh could be easier haha but so darn good I keep coming back to play and worth it! lots of items you can buy in this game that can help your quest are very welcomed to players who are not the best or frustrated. 1080p goodness on wiiU smooth framerate this system is not so underpowered as all the "parrots" out there keep saying I mean just look at black ops 2 Bayonetta, Mario cart and Xznoblade look as good as most ps4 games Nintendo really goofed with marketing this system and not getting more third parties on board. My only regret is waiting till this game was 19.99 and not buying is when it came out. Other games worth getting like this are new Super Mario bro U and Rayman Legends.

This is the best DK game the big N has done. I is a must own for any wii u owner.

solo or coop. this game is different than what mario can provide. its a little bit more difficult but the art style of the stages are so unique. glad that it is one of the nintendo select getting a copy for $20. donkey kong is an nintendo original

Keeping to form with other DK games, this is a very challenging game that will have you trying levels multiple times before completing. With that being said, this is a fun and enjoyable game. I hope they give us one more DK game on the Wii U.

Amazing graphics and excellent music. Controls are tight and if you die, it doesn't feel cheap...feels more like it was your fault for not doing better which is always important in a platformer. Price cannot be beat with GCU.

It's a little bit hard but fun and enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Bought this game to play with the little one and we love it. You can play together as DK and Diddy or as the girl one. The game is more challenging that i had expected so might not be idea for young children.

I bought this game hoping it was going to be as fun as the Donkey Kong country from the SNES. This game is overall fun for my kids, but i think the original is better. It is a little difficult to figure out at first, but my younger child did eventually get the hang of it:

It's classic Donkey Kong, but man, this one is tougher than we were expecting. It's a heck of a lot of fun, though, and yet again another Nintendo Select title that's worthwhile.

I like it a lot .Good graphics and the levels are entertaining. You can repeat the same level if you like to see how much you can obtain before you go to another level.

I actually bought this game for my daughter but ended up playing it myself. The game difficulty starts getting harder as you progress so it keeps you hooked up but my opinion is that is a bit too difficult for my 6 year old.

This marks the first time a donkey kong country game has gone full HD thanks to the power of the Nintendo wii U. And what a great game it is! The graphics shine and pop. The smooth gameplay will engross you and make you feel like you are reliving the glory days when they were on the super Nintendo. The music is not as good as the earlier donkey kong country's but still no slouch. If you loved the game on the wii, then you will love tropical blast thanks to the lush visual upgrade because of the wii U processing power. This is definitely one to add to your collection!

Absolutely love this game. Even better if you have a good player two. Only downside is controlling the rocket/jet barrel. That is impossible at times.

This is a fun game if you know what to expect. Solid level and sound design, fine-tuned gameplay. Cons: high difficulty, extras somewhat difficult to obtain
