This was originally a launch or near a launch game for the 3DS, this is a discounted re-release that I've been waiting for since the original was going for 40 bucks for JUST the cartridge alone in stores. Now we have this version, the exact same thing but cheaper, but I guess with a uglier box? What is it? It's Star Fox 64, but on the 3DS with massively improved visuals. There's some additions like a 3DS mode which has some changed enemy placement which is designed for the gyro function in the 3DS- I believe. I never tried it because I honestly don't care for motion controls. Thankfully they're optional and I stuck with the 64 version and beat the game through different paths. It's quite a challenging fun game. I grew up playing the game every so often at a family members house so I never got to really sit down and beat this game. It was harder than I thought but became easier as I grasped what they wanted me to do. The visuals are much nicer, the framerate is more stable and it's a great way to play Star Fox 64. I think the analog stick on the 3DS is a little hard to aim with, but it's no deal breaker, also there's gyro that you can use in combination with aiming for more precision. In any case, it's a great game and super cheap. Grab it!

I had a strong urge to play this game on my 3DS. Even though I had this game for N64, I wanted the updated version for my 3DS so that I can play it on the go. Strong childhood memories came rushing back to me as I played this awesome game.

This is a must buy for a Nintendo 64 fan like myself. It has improved graphics while retaining the original design, story, and script. It isn't a remaster, but more like a re-release. There are classic controls as well as use of the internal gyroscope to help you steer. I prefer classic because I am old stubborn and unyielding to new fangled ways, lol. The final boss is still aggravating and he still invokes hatred in my heart, so all around a good villain.

I'm glad the conrolls are managable on the 3DS. I was worried that it would be tough, but it turns out that's not the case. I only wish they kept the same voice lines from the original. Other than that, it's better in every way.

I am a HUGE Star Fox fan so this game excited me a lot when it was announced. Having played through Star Fox 64 for countless hours, this remaster of the game was gorgeous on the 3DS and made very good use of the 3D available to the system. The game is 98% identical to the original one and overall, I would say superior in almost every single way.

Those who grew up with N64 or are new to the series, need to try out Starfox 64 3D. I personally love the 3D and think this is a great use of the technology. Plus you get an excellent game with easy to learn (somewhat) difficult to master that makes it fun. And there's always areas you might have missed on the first play through that warrants a second go round.

Starfox N64 is back! A classic title to have in your 3ds collection. Still holds up with improved graphics and 3d visuals. Collect this game before it's too late.

Upgraded graphics, controls and features. If you are a fan of the original, you will enjoy this game. I f you missed it, here is your opportunity. It's a game very much worth experiencing.

It's the classic Star Fox 64 game in 3D! And its finally cheap! I've been wanting this since it came out on 3DS years ago and now it's price is reasonable!

Not much to say except this is an amazing remake of a classic. Controls are great, games looks awesome in 3d, and a great pick up and play option.

Fantastic way to experience starfox. Great controls. Graphics are good show a little bit of dating but awesome to have this on a handheld.

The 3D is kinda weird, but the portability is great, and the redone visuals are also nice!

If video games were people, Starfox 64 is old enough to consume alcohol now. Despite being 21 years old this year though, the game itself remains a classic, unquestionably in the top 10 of arcade space shooters of all time. The 3D component, as usual, isn't essential, but it does enhance the experience somewhat. I'm glad Nintendo brought this over to the Nintendo Selects line as it was getting rather expensive and difficult to find on the used market.

It's the classic but portable; what's not to like? get this for anyone, and I promise they'll have a good time! It doesn't have rumble and the voice acting has been changed a bit, but it's still good!

This game is awesome. The story is pretty short but the gameplay and 3d are very cool

It's good. Much like the original 64 version, but with some upgrades like new power-ups. Haven't tried it as multiplayer. The gyro controls take a little getting used to so I mainly use the traditional controls.

I primarily purchases the game simply because it was a portable version of the classic Starfox 64. Though I have only completed the first level, even opening the harder, alternate route on my first try, already I can feel the familiarity of the gameplay and the enhanced graphics and textures of the assets. Though, I must admit that the control layout of the 2DS XL were something of a learning curve even not taking into account the gyro controls. Granted, the 2DS XL is significantly different compared to the trident controller of the N64, but the curve was still there and something to keep in mind before purchase.

This game is basically Star Wars meets Big Top Pee Wee. Except there's no Hot Dog tree in this game. They really missed an opportunity there. I have a great idea for a game... Hot Dog Farm 2. Why skip Hot Dog Tree 1!? Sequels are ALWAYS better. This game is ALMOST perfect. Come on guys... watch some Peewee sequels and LEARN SOMETHING. Perfect game.
