    To me this game is not as good as either the straight 2D marios or the open 3D marios (such as 64 and sunshine). However it is still a very fun game overall and should be played by any Wii U owner

    I have come to expect greatness out of Mario games and this one doesn't disappoint. The stages are very well made and the game mechanics are excellent. Although I found the game to be a shorter than others before, for $20 you can't go wrong with this.

    For those looking for a game similar to a Super Mario 64 or a Super Mario Sunshine, this game is probably not for you. This game is less used for exploration and more "linear" .... in the same way that Super Mario World is "linear."
