I bought a 2ds specifically to play this again. I though maybe i was overdoing it spending $100+ just to play this again but I was wrong. I have really enjoyed this game and dispite remembering the graphics being just as good on the N64, they weren’t! The 3ds Version has a definite bump up! Also, If you like games that aren’t easy get this. I didn’t realize how bad (and easy) games had become lately until I played this again.

I was pleasantly surprised to see that this game has graphical updates to most of the game assets. This breathes new life into a game that was really great but getting a bit dated by the graphical quality of the N64. Loads of fun to play and I have been enjoying the new little tidbits as well. Definitely great for a playthrough whether you played the original or not.

The only things that could make LOZ: Ocarina of Time a better game were improved graphics and the ability to play anywhere. This game delivers both of those improvements while maintaining the epic adventure we fell in love with many years ago.

Ok, let's be clear. If you thought that the original release was epic. This 3DS version makes the best game even better. The 3D element works perfectly here especially in the dungeons. It is pretty much the same game in terms of story and basic gameplay. However, some modifications improved on the layout of the overall games and controls are easily managed. If you're a fan of Zelda or the original 1998 release. This version is clearly worthy of your revisit or first time playing.

Graphics are smoothed out but it definitely still feels like the 64. Fun to play and more convenient then digging out the 64 unless you wanna have some nostalgia.

Ocarina of Time 3DS is an enhanced version of the N64 classic that does not disappoint. If you are looking for an excellent action-adventure game with plenty of replay value, which is portable to boot, look no further. At $20 (or sometimes cheaper) the game is an absolute steal and is a great choice for your 3DS library.

Would have thought that there was no way to improve this game from it's original version. I was definitively wrong, and actually in the best way. The graphics for this game are amazing! You couldn't believe the 3DS was made for this, but the game plays so much better on this platform and brings back old memories. Can't wait to try Majora's Mask and a Link Between Worlds - which I'm sure will bring out memories as well - Zelda games are definitively some of the best across all consoles.

This is still one of the best games ever. Played on 2DSXL. Great graphics and controls translate nicely to the hand held.

Ocarina of Time is one of the greatest, Nintendo got 3D gaming almost perfect and it set the standard for future. It has smooth 3D exploration in game world. It has amazing mechanics within game environment (slingshot, boomerang, bow and arrows, hookshot, etc.) and delivered a solid gaming experience. This game was the first 3D game to implement the Z Targeting lock-on feature which has been used in many games, such as the Dark Souls series. Play it. Period!

The 3DS is such a treat to play. The 3D effects, without the aid of glasses, really does work. This game is one of the highest rated of all time and the tiny things people can say about it they don't like really are, and most admit, they're reaching for straws just to find something they don't like. The story is engrossing, you'll get wrapped up in it as easily and completely as Breath of the Wild for the Switch. Don't hesitate to pick this one up.

The game offers a huge world in stunning 3D. The game also haves a fantastic story to go along with fantastic gameplay. The 3D is an upgrade to the N64 version. I would highly recommend this title to any gamer of all ages a classic that ha?s survived the test of time.

This was one of those games my friends always said, "I can't believe you've never played ocarina of time!" Well it was because I never had the proper console, so when I got my 2ds, because I am cheap... And 3d gives me headaches, I purchased this game right away. I am so glad I did too, my favorite part about it is it doesn't hold your hand like most modern games do. There is no waypoint to reach and the puzzles are actually well thought out and fun. If you want assistance though then you can stick your head in a little visionmabob and it gives you a visual hint. The story is enthralling and fun and if you are looking for a fun game then I recommend this if you haven't played it ever like myself or if you want a good replay of it. Based of YouTube footage I don't really see much of a change in graphics from the original but hey, it still looks awesome!

Looking to start somewhere in the Zelda series? This is the perfect start. The only true remake of this game is for the 3ds. Sure it was on the GameCube at one point but it wasn't printed at higher volume and is quite rare. Get this Zelda if you haven't played Ocarina and enjoy the other Zeldas or simply looking to start? This is the classic to do so!

There are seemingly infinite reviews of OoT as a game, so I will speak about its merit as a 3DS remake. The 3DS Remasterings of Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask are superbly done. I would unquestionably label them as the definitive versions of each respective title. Gyroscope controls make aiming a breeze. Superior frame rates and graphics allow for longer play periods that are easier on the eyes. Revamped inventory menus make item management much less intrusive. And of course, all of the joy and wonder that the original games provided are still perfectly intact. Ocarina of Time even comes with Master Quest mode, which is a guaranteed challenge for even the most seasoned Zelda fans. Every 3DS owner should have OoT and MM 3D.

I have yet to play through the entire game, but am completely satisfied with it. Every minute is packed with excrutiating detail and exquisite graphics, the characters and environment beautifully rendered in 3D. Never before have I experienced a game so masterfully depicted or story so artfully told. Though I am somewhat of a wuss (I can't take the giant spiders and the creepy graveyard music), I love the Zelda games, admittingly for their other, more endearing aspects. The story, characters, mission, action, adventure, and freedom that each game of this series give to the user are why I find such joy in playing them. Ocarina of Time, in keeping to the legacy of the Legend of Zelda line, does not disappoint.

This game was one of my favorites from my childhood. When I heard that they remastered it in 3D I was super excited. After picking it up and playing through it I have no regrets about double dipping in this game. Fantastic game and fantastic remake. I enjoyed it just as much the second time around!!

Never played this game back in the day so I figured I’d pick it up now. Plays awesome on the 3ds and there’s no issues with the gameplay which is nice. Don’t know if it’s my 3ds or the game, but the 3D effect can be a little weird at times and show double no matter how you look at the screen.

My daughter recently had her birthday and we got her a DS per her wishes. We didn't see a whole lot of games at the time but got Zelda knowing how much fun the original was when I was a kid. She plays this non-stop during time she is allowed to be on the DS.
