HD558 wide sound stage + bassier
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Modded by taking out the foam padding inside the ear cup as well as removed the 2.5mm locking and plastic to allow 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter to fit to use 3.5mm cables. Use for 80% gaming 20% music and the wide soundstage is excellent and makes gaming funner with the bass vs 598's I've tested. Great music and gaming headphones + v-moda boompro with the 3.5mm mod.

Better Than Expected

I couldn't believe the sound quality compared to other headphones that I own. I definitely hear more and clearer tones. The crispness is also very noticeable. Hopefully, you can try them in store, but for me, the extra cost is worth every penny.

GREAT CLARITY

Great original idea

I love letting my son use them. He can hear me speak to him while he wears them to play video games or listen to music. This is the opposite of noise cancelling headphones, yet they still sound better than the other headphones we have in the house.

Great headphones

While I would have liked to go with a wireless set, I could not bring myself to pay the money for it. This is a great set of headphones and a great price. Very clear and crisp sound and perfect for watching movies on my tablet or listening to music on my phone.

Great headphones for the beginner audiophile

While this doesn't haven't noise calncelling capabilities, it does have excellent sound, and its sound isolation is great too
