I read the reviews and knew them not to be closed cups, but the difference was quite surprising! It does, somehow, make nuances I hasn't heard before pop out. I real enjoy these, at home. They are audible by others in my office so I don't use them there any more. No complaints but...

I use this head set for air travel and mowing and find them to be great for my needs.

I had old Bose headphones and my son has newer Beats. I thought I liked both of those until I listened to these bad boys. My brother-in-law is a sound/audio guy and told me about these. I couldn't be happier. The sound... go buy them now!

Sound quality was good enough for me, I was doing research on an affordable open ear headphone that didn't need an amp/dac and this one seemed to be a popular choice. Bought a shorter cable for it on Amazon since it's non-standard.

You will have difficulty finding a better pair of headphones for the price. Balanced, pristine quality that outperforms headphones twice the price. Detachable cable is a welcome improvement over previous models in this line.

This headset is very balanced in sound not really sticking out in any task but is suited for most types of music. Great for anyone trying to get into audiophile music. Works well with smartphones, but it's recommended to get a amp.

I have been a big fan of SennHeiser since I was 16 and that has been my go to headphones up to now. There have been many pretenders but a few are of quality and Sennheiser they've been doing heaphones a very long long time...

I bought these headphones because of the daily deal price, I know they were not "noise canceling" type, but still hoped for a little of that when used on airplane - quite a bit of noise still comes through. Sound quality OK, not as much bass as I was hoping for.

Saw these in the Magnolia section. Tried them out with my ipod in the store. Sounded good, and the pricepoint was fair enough for a pair of over the ear headphones. Unlike many other makes and models that use a leather (or leatherette) material for the padding, these cushions are wrapped in a soft upholstery memory foam. They were actually no more or less comfortable than other headphones i've tried, to be honest, but just thought it was worth mentioning. Anyway ---- on to the sound. Sennheiser touts these as entry-level auduiophile headphones. And they probably are. I think most headphones that fall into this category are tuned to be either relatively flat, or neutral sounding. And if that's what you are looking for, you won't be disappointed. These cans definitely had a good balance across the lows, mids, highs. But if you're looking for serious low-end oomph, you might want to try some of the other headphones that are regarded as "bass monsters"---- like the Beats or Sony x-series. But overall, good sounding headphones.

For a classical music aficionado this is THE headphone to get. I listened to multiple genres and this headphone is perfect to natural acoustic music. Of course hip hop would be great with the beats studio wireless headphones.

You can never go wrong when you buy Sennheiser Headphones. The sound is amazing, dynamic, clear, with great highs, great bass,, great clarity. One can hear each instrument as if one wasvpresent when it was being recorded.

These are great headphones. They feel great and sound even better. They are an amazing deal for the price -- or even for a higher price.

Overall the sound from these headphones is pretty great. Buyers should keep in mind people will hear what you're listening to if you have them up really loud, but I don't mind- I've got great taste in music. ;-) Otherwise- very solid product for the price!

These headphones are the nicest pair I've ever owned. I'm not an audiophile and have always had lesser quality headphones. These were on sale for almost half price and sound amazing. Can't be beat for the price.

They are great I would say the build qualities where not the best but the sound is all that matter I got them on sale for 80$ and well worth it. Don't ever waist your money on beats get these bc the sound is perfect

Very good sound for the money...would have given it a 5 star but the wire you get is kinda lame. It has a hard time connecting fully and one speaker sometimes doesn't work. Thought it was the system but I tried multiple devices with the same result

I bought these headphones since I didn't have a working pair and I was amazed at the sound quality. I heard parts of songs I never could hear before. They also work with any other device that has a 3.5 mm jack.
