Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the excellent sound quality and comfortable fit of these headphones. Many appreciate the lightweight design and find them to be a good value for the price. However, some users note that the bass could be improved, and the cord length is a point of contention for some. A few also mention challenges with volume and jack compatibility.

This is my first set of open-backed headphones and I think I'm hooked. Compared to my previous headphones, BOSE SoundTrue, they have a more genuine sound. The Bose tend to amp up the low end and sound a bit surreal. But these headphones have an openess. It sounds more like the sound is coming from outside, like you're listening to a band playing, rather the sound being pumped into your head. For the most part, they're comfortable, but on my big head, they have just a bit more pressure than I'd like, so if I listen for hours, I start to definitely feel them on there. The Bose, I never got that kind of fatigue. It's not too bad, and it's the only thing I don't love about these phones.

These headphones are very well made. The cord is durable and heavier than other cheap headphone cords. They are comfortable for longer listening periods. They are "open" headphones, so music will be heard by others around you, and you can hear outside sounds when listening at low volumes. Sound quality is excellent.

Thanks to Best buy to sell this headphone for an unbeatable price. I did some research before buying this one. After the research I had another option of HD598, but this performs equally well for a lesser price. Also this is better in some aspects like looks/color(black), which doesnt fade over years. If you are not a person who is not so crazy about base, this will be a best headphones for price around 100$.

I had been looking at these for some time, then I saw them for under $100 on sale and pounced. What a fantastic pair of headphones, the quality of sound is wonderful. Yes they are made of plastic, but if you look after them they will probably give you many years of great listening, they also have a 2 year warranty. They are very comfortable and fit my quite large head well. No complaints, very satisfied.

I absolutely love these headphones. The cord has a great length to it and it's not thin like most headphone cords. It feels like it will hold up for quite some time. I love the fact that it has a 3.5mm adapter so that you can listen with your iPhone or iPod or what have you. The sound is excellent but I wish they were a little louder. It may be my computer since I only listen to them on there but I'm not sure. Either way, they look great and feel great. Way better than those Beats by Dr. Dre.

Songs like Black Hole Sun, Don't Know Why, The Look Of Love all sound great with these. The detail you get from these, I heard instruments from Louis Armstrong's What A Wonderful Life that I've never heard before. These aren't bass head headphones (thank god) but you get nice smooth bass; especially from electro pop songs like Do You Think You're Better Off Alone. Enjoy the crisp voice of Karen Carpenter, Dolores O'Riordan from the Cranberries and Christina Perri. You think you died and gone to heaven. If you like to listen to movie scores/classical, look no further, these are the ones for you. I'm not using these with a headphone amp or dac (you don't need to either). I do most of my listening on youtube from my macbook pro w/ retina. Just go do yourself a favor and buy these headphones. ps Best Buy price matched these headphones with Amazon so I only had to pay around 105. Thank you Best Buy.

Pros -comfortable -well built -excellent sound stage, can hear every instrument clearly -looks great Cons -bass is accurate but not particularly powerful -comes with a 5.25mm cable instead if a 3.5mm. A 3.5mm adapter is included but it ends up very bulky Others: -These are open cans so there is plenty of sound leakage. This means that the sound is more natural sounding but you can't use these at a quiet library.

I bought them for gaming. They are very comfortable and fit my big head well. They don't build up any heat around the ears while wearing for long gaming sessions. They are not cheaply made like tons of the flashy gaming headsets. Sound quality is very immersive. Kind of bassy coming from earbuds I been using for years. Sound quality is good. It has a different feel to it. I wouldn't say it's like audiophile quality for music listening but it's not unpleasant in any way.

Great pair of headphones if you want something well rounded for everything. I've been using these for gaming, music and movies and they sound great! Some of the other headphones and headsets I've owned recently are the Philips SHP9500s, Hyperx Clouds, Hyperx Cloud Revolvers and Logitech G533s. I actually prefer the Sennheisers as they work well for just about everything.

I remember getting these headphones at least 4 or 5 years ago. I've loved them for different reasons over the time I've owned them: The open back drivers that let in surrounding sound (and air, soooo cool to wear in the summer), The durable construction despite being plastic is very sturdy even when ran over my office chair or surviving car crashes, The spectacular clarity and crisp mid range is perfect for quiet volume listening, and lastly making the plush padding... well... actually comfortable. these are the only headphones I can legitimately sleep on my side with. Don't expect chest reaching bass from these though.

These are rally good headphones. They are not designed to be sound eliminating. However, as I listen to a movie or a DVD on my laptop, the sound is very good. The phones are also very comfortable to wear. I am very glad that I purchased them for use at home!

If you're looking for open back headphones you can't go wrong with these. They are extremely comfortable and the sound stage is amazing. I've worn these for hours at a time with no qualms. You will not regret purchasing these headphones. Although the cord is rather long, it comes with an adapter for use with portable devices, too. I can't say recommend this product enough. Since they are open back headphones, they will not work well in loud environments but in the comfort of your own home or office, you'll be hard pressed to find better.

When I first saw the sale on these headphones I thought I had struck gold. They were almost half off. It was a good value and the majority of the reviews were good. I had seen comments on the low volume sound but I thought they were posted by heavy duty listeners. When I listened to music and hooked them up to my electronic drum kit I was disappointed with the low sound. I expected my eardrums to be blown away. The sound coming out of the headphones is good. The highs sounds are amazing however, the low sounds leave plenty to be desired. I know the Sennheiser does not want to damage eardrums but they need to punch up the sound a bit more. And the bass needs to improve to get the nice low sounds you get with other manufacturers. The Sennheiser headphones are still good to listen but I have gone back to my $70 dollar Sony's extra bass, I will continue to use both headphones. For the times when I am listening to easy listening music I will use these headphones as I think they still have a good sound. When a good heavy bass is required I know which headphones I will be picking up.

The ONLY thing my husband complains about is that they can easily be heard by the people around me. Not a big deal since I use them in my office and studio, and not for a commute. They sound incredible and are so comfortable. This is the first pair of headphones I've worn for an extended period that didn't give me a headache.

Purchased for my college age son. He loves the fit over the ears vs on the ears, saying they are extremely comfortable. The sound quality is quite clear and very enjoyable to listen to. Not wanting to spend hundreds like other brands, I was very pleased with the sound/quality of these in the price point! Now my husband wants a pair of his own too!

Found these on sale ($65 off) and am glad I bought them. I use these a lot connected to a Sony receiver which in turn is connected to a directv receiver. Can tell the difference from my old headphones. Also sounds crisp connected to my mac mini audio out.. Comfortable even after hours of use. Very pleased.!

I purchased this headset with the very helpful advice from the Magnolia staff. It was a gift for a parent, and it works great! Very easy to install and simple to use. High enough quality to be several steps above typical headset. Comfortable for binge watching.

I picked these little puppies up for around 70$ U.S. and wow what a deal! I can hear people take a breath when I listen to classical music. These are hands down the best headphones I've ever used. For reference to my minimal experience with audiophile tech I'll tell you, my previous headphones were old sennheiser hd 202 (40-50$ at the time). Those were my best for a while, but my friend and I love music and he's always had better equipment. I've gotten used to his pc JVC studio monitors (300$ I think), and he's just bought 160$ ATH M50x headphones which he's loving (meaning they sound at least as great as his monitors or better). If these headphones are on sale, buy them!

I was looking for a High Performance headphones I came across the Sennheiser model at theBlack Friday price. These headphones are exceptionally comfortable due to felt earpads and the Audio frequency response is a wide as advertised .The dynamic range is immence. I could not get these to distort all the way up until my hearing was in danger of being damaged. In Summary, excellent headphone performance and value without the unnecessary cost in wood or metal trim.
