Brought these on sale at Best Buy, for 89.99. Was considering the Momentums, but for the jump in price, I couldn't justify buying those after listening to them side by side. The Momentum ear cups were somewhat small, and I have average to small ears, the sound was less defined than the HD558, however the bass was more noticeable, they were comfortable, but not as much as the HD558's....The HD 558, sound great with every genre of music I enjoy, R&B, jazz, and gospel. While listening to live recordings of EW&F, these HD558 put you in the front row, and the bass isn't muddy, nor exaggerated like some other celebrity brands, it's exactly where I like it. Also these are the most comfortable headphones I ever had, I sometimes forget I'm wearing them. If you can get these at the sub $150 price they are well worth it. My previous set of headphones are Klipsch image ones gen II, which sound nice; however they are too bass heavy in my opinion, the HD558 are much cleaner, and well defined.

Thea are well made headphones for the price. Only downfall is the Aux cord is long.
