Customers are delighted by the excellent sound quality and comfortable fit of these headphones. Many appreciate the lightweight design and find them to be a good value for the price. These headphones are great! The sound quality is really good and they are very comfortable. The reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because the cord they come with is ridiculously long and you have to use an adapter to use as a regular headphone jack. I went to the manufactures web site and ordered a shorter cord with the standard headphone jack.

Great sound. Comfortable on head. Good fit for my phone. The headphones come with an adapter that fits a Samsung G phone: 3.5mm.

I bought these on a whim because I live in an apartment but still really enjoy good sounding music. Just plugged into my iPhone they sound outstanding, and plugged into a soundcard with a proper headphone amp or a good home theater receiver they're even better.

I was extremely fortunate to get these great headphones at a magnificent price! I took a chance and bought these, WIRED headphones when I knew that wireless headphones were much more convenient. These priceless gems are one of the most cold-blooded pairs of headphones that I've ever owned. They are certainly as comfortable to wear as any that I own. In fact, if you can believe this, I sometimes forget I have them on because of how comfortable they are. I am so glad that I bought these headphones because I would have undoubtedly missed probably one of the most comfortable headphones ever made. The sound coming from these guys is extraordinary. Sennheiser makes audiophile quality headphones which deliver on sound, quality, comfort and durability. These headphones are a great value at any price!

Awesome sound quality for the price. Best bang for your buck, bar none. It's amazing the sound you can get from this moderately priced set, and is much more comfortable than my expensive reference headphones costing many times more. The Sennheiser 558 is the perfect go-to open earphone set to listen to comfortably for hours, and it even has a removable cable to upgrade or replace in the future. If you're a budding audiophile looking for a gateway phone, this is it! It is an open back style earphone, so keep that in mind if you plan on listening at loud levels in public, or if your significant other is trying to sleep. Is this the best sound I've ever heard? Nope, the $10,000 Abyss/Woo Audio headphone setup I was lucky to try at CanJam SoCal takes the cake. But these headphones paired with a decent DAC/Amp like a AudioQuest DragonFly or Fulla Schiit can get you close enough for a tiny fraction of the cost. Comfortable, great sound, perfect price point. A+ in my book!

These are amazing headphones for the price I purchased them for which is $70 although I would still fell as though they are worth it closer to full price. Extremely comfortable and the open back design gives an open soundstage. The sound is exceedingly neutral in the best way. The highs, mids, and lows do not overpower each other. If you want to tweak the sound the peace EQ works well and these can handle changes in their natural sound signature. Whenever I hear a new song I like in the car or on my bluetooth speaker I can't wait to sit at my pc and listen to it with these on. You can power them with your on board sound card but I'm using the FX Audio DAC-X6 to control volume and power these which I highly recommend for the price as well. The headphones are also great for gaming and watching movies/tv. Great open, neutral sound with little fatigue and easily tweaked if you prefer more bass or anything else. Good beginner "audiophile" headphones.

I had been thinking about getting new headphones for a while, and Best Buy had these (HD 588) and several others available in their listening area. They were the best sounding out of all that I tried that were under $200. They were on sale at the time, and I bought the last one they had. On the box, it reads "Outstanding bass and vocal projection." Absolutely true. In fact, they can produce so much bass that I need to turn the bass control to about the 10 o'clock position for some recordings. You can't get sizzling highs with these 'phones, but highs are balanced in the mix as they should be. I mainly use them with my old stereo system that has knobs for bass and treble. They have a gold-plated 1/4" plug, and come with an adapter for a portable music player. They're lightweight for full-sized 'phones, and comfortable, too. I'm glad I bought them.

This model may have been discontinued but its a great buy; and for many, it may be the best buy in high quality headphones that they will find. I compose as well as listen to music on my computer and frequently watch YouTube videos on my tablet using these headphones. I was so impressed by the high audio quality of these headphones at such a reasonable cost that I ended up buying three of them, including one for a friend. They are higher impedence (requiring more power) than most earbuds and therefore require higher volume settings. But their clarity, stereo separation, and broad frequency response are astonishing. I've been disappointed with other highly rated headphones that I've purchased, but these have proven to be very pleasing to my ears. A shorter snap-in-place cable with 3.5mm plug is available for more convienent use on the go or with smaller portable devices.

I was looking for a new pair of headphones to game with. I had read alot of positive reviews about these and saw that amazon had a really good sale on them. Between Best buys price match guarantee and using my points i walked away only paying 60$ for these. As far as sound goes they have great sound especially when it comes to listening to music. The one thing i really like is they are not Bass heavy so you get a really nice crisp sound and it inst muffled by a lot of bass. Comfort they get a 10/10 i can literally wear these all day and my ears would feel fine they fit and feel great.

Very nicely balanced across the whole frequency range which makes it perfect for a variety of different genres. And it is really very comfortable thanks to the size, shape and high quality materials of the ear pieces. Open concept, so don't be surprised if the people next to you can hear some of the louder parts of what you are listening to. Not disturbing to others (I was told) but wouldn't recommend it for a library. Comes with the studio cord which is long and has the larger connector (6.35mm). You need to use the included adapter to connect to the regular (3.5mm) stereo headphone jacks (your phone or tablet). I wanted a regular cord (3ft w/ the 3.5mm jack) thus ordered one from the Sennheiser website, which has arrived promptly and equally high quality as the headphone and original cable in the box.

Great pair of headphones, over-ear for comfort, open-ear for sound quality (sound will leak, these are for you to enjoy but may carry to those around you. best for home use.) Game audio sounds just as great and wide open as music. 'Warm' profile, sounds amazing. pairing with modmic 4 as pc headset. Almost completely even frequency response with just a bit more bass added over completely flat 'mixing' headphones. dont wanna spend 150 on ath m50xs? buy these on sale, half the price and almost as good. definitely could be used for mixing. vocal drivers are especially crisp and wonderful. vellure ear pads make them feel invisible, they melt in after about 3 minutes and you wont even notice them on. and they are big enough for my gigantic bruce campbell dinosaur head! great cans

Most people walk around with those little Ear Buds jammed in their ears and think they are happy. I purchased a pair of Sennheiser Titans for my wife and she's never looked back. Do yourself a favor and check them out - you won't be sorry, but you will be out all the money you spent on earbuds.

These headphones have a great range and depth of sound. I prefer over the ear headphones to any other kind, and these sound much better than most other brands you would recognize by name. Those cost twice as much to get the same sound out of them. Sennheiser is an audio company that produces professional sound equipment, not just headphones, and it shows. The cord is long and comes with a 1/4 inch jack and 1/8 inch adapter. No frills like bluetooth or noise cancellation. They will last for years with unbeatable sound for the price.

I recently moved to a basement apt in a single home, and the homeowner lives in the main part of the house. At first I didn't think I could watch tv because I have to be quite, but then I discovered that my Samsung 4K tv has a headphone jack. I had on ear headphones, but they're extremely uncomfortable for long wear. I purchased the Sennheiser - Audiophile Over-the-Ear Headphones - Titan and they're perfect! They're so comfortable, even after watching tv all day. They're not wireless, but for me, that's what I wanted because I don't have to stop wearing them to charge the battery. And best of all, the sound is incredible! It's like you're in a movie theater. I'm very happy with this purchase!!

I got this headphones for $59. They are open ear headphones so sound does leak out while you're sitting and listening to them but they sound amazing it has a wide soundstage due to them being open ear and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. They're great for gaming since they're open air headphones

Great Sound, Great Headphone -- not Very Versatile

These headphones are phenomenal for use around the home or in the studio. They are not great for use outside the home. The open-back causes some sound bleeding so other people might be annoyed by your broadcasting (though I knew this going into it). My main issue with them is their lack of portability and inability to upgrade accessories. I went to use an AudioQuest auxiliary cable instead of the stock cable, but even with the 3.5mm-2.5mm converter, it's not possible due to the port construction. Not a huge deal, as the included cord is fairly good, but it seems flimsy and prone to breakage. It's also very very long, meaning it loses some sound quality along the way and lags slightly from the source. The headphones are also quite bulky with no way of condensing them at all. They are not easily portable without wearing them around your neck (and I don't like that aesthetic -- if I can call it that) or putting them back in the box and lugging that around with you. Don't get me wrong -- these are phenomenal headphones for the price (especially as I got them Open-Box for around $87) and I would highly recommend them to anyone for home use, but there are things to keep in mind. I will probably return them and get some Momentum Wireless instead, but if those didn't exist I'd probably keep these until I felt like upgrading to the HD650 or HD800.
