    Sennheiser Does It Again!

When my Sennheiser PMX-100 sport headphones finally bit the dust, I was heartbroken to find out they had discontinued the "sport" model of the PX series. I found out that they had re-vamped the PX-100 over-the-head model, and took a look into some of the specs. I liked what I saw, and took the plunge. Since the day they arrived I've been thoroughly enjoying all of my tunes again (I was using cheap earbuds for a while as interim headphones, what a difference!) Highs are crisp and clear, mids flow perfectly without distortion, and lows are just right (I'm not a bass head, I want to actually hear ALL of my music!) The bass is more than adequate, and the open-ear design allows for incredibly accurate audio clarity. The headphones are very durable (I very much enjoy 1 cord instead of 2), lightweight, and comfortable. They're great for use when exercising, as they do have a nice, snug (but not too snug) fit that holds them in place during normal exercise. I'm not sure if I'll ever use the carrying pouch that came with them, but it's a nice added touch. Overall fantastic product and at a very fair price for the quality of sound, and overall product quality. Highly satisfied!

I'm using them for audio books and the sound is rich. The ear phones are not bulky and they fold for travel

Great the way they fold up. Makes for easy travel. Had a set for many years that got lost. Bought new set to replace. Only negative is new ones come with a soft case can. The old hard one.

Good headsets but didn't work for me.

Sennheiser has always made great stuff from headsets to microphones. Unfortunately, I wear hearing aids and can only wear over-the-hear headphones. These headphone didn't work too well for me and I found them to have too much bass and not enough highs. Since my hearing loss is in the high frequency, it is not fair to say that these headphones would not sound fine to someone without hearing loss. I would recommend that you try them out and if they don't work for you, return them since Best Buy has a great return policy.

Good sound, lightweight, comfortable fit when walking. Maybe not for an audiophile, but nice sound. As they fold up, they're good for travel.

Very nice sound for the price. Does not cancel outside noise at all but that was not a want with this purchase. Cord is pretty thin and seems like it may not hold up to rough use. Will probably be OK if you are careful and don't flex at a connection point.

The headphones are somewhat small for my ears and therefore makes me uncomfortable at times. Only pro about this headphone is its portability. If you have small ears, this may be the headphone for you.

    Overpriced and barely acceptable

I am used to Logitech products - they are built to a price and I expect shortcomings - but they last. I'm replacing one that I accidentally stepped on. Purchased this headphone set based on reviews. I was let down. Cheap construction - all plastic - save for the metal band inside the frame - shortish cord - much shorter than the Logitech product that I replaced. Costs $20 too much - thankfully I bought it on sale and had a $20 certificate to use. The final price was around $30 which is precisely what this product is worth. Sound quality is okay at the $30 price point - but at double that, it is not worth the money. If you can get this on sale for half the regular price, the product will be worth what you pay. Otherwise, shop around. Side note - Best Buy ship to store is about as worthless as ship to home - note on purchase said it would take 5-7 days to arrive - it took 8 - no email notification at any point in this service - far worse than what I've come to expect from even Ebay. Ship to store was not even as fast as Walmart.

Great Senheiser Quality at Moderate Price

I purchased three of these about ten years ago for various purposes. I trusted the Senheiser name, and was thrilled that there was a headphone set available from this company at this price point . The headphones have met every expectation. As other reviewers have pointed out, the sound quality is smooth and balanced at all frequencies. It is not a typical modern headset that exaggerates the highs and the lows. All frequencies are fully there, but designed to sound "true." In other words, they sound beautiful. They reproduce music with great fidelity. (I tend towards soft rock and jazz: Steely Dan, James Taylor, John Mayer, Miles Davis, Jim Hall.). They do a great job at all volume levels. I tend to listen loud enough to catch every detail in the music. But at low volumes they hold up as well. Over the course of more than a decade, they have proven very durable. Nothing has broken. The only wear and tear has been on the foam ear pads, and I have been able to purchase after-market replacements online for pennies. As a point of comparison I also own a pair of Bose noise cancelling earbuds, the Quietcomfort 20 model, at the much higher price point of $300. Being that those are earbuds it is a bit of an apples-to-oranges comparison. Nevertheless it might be helpful to some readers: The earbuds are extraordinary, but fidelity-wise the Senheisers are superior. If one of my Senheisers ever breaks, I would replace them with the same model.

    Great all-around headphones

I've had the first version of the PX-100 for years. They're my go-to earphones for my computer. They are very comfortable. The sound is on the warm side, just barely, and a little reserved. The high end is rolled off. But this overall sound scheme is really nice. My set has broken twice, and I've made the effort to glue them together because I like them so much.

This is a perfect set of travelling headphones. it folds easily into jeans pocket and can be pulled out very easily. The sound quality beats many of the higher priced items.

    Comfy Sennheiser Headphones

The only downside so far is that I had to order them - couldn't find them in a store. The price was good, they are easy to adjust, fit in my purse. I like having the good sound quality and still have the ability to hear what is going on around me. I haven't had them long, but as of now, if I lost them, I would replace them with the same item.

Great sounding headphone from a fantastic company. These are my portable casual listening phones and they pair up perfectly with my iMod'd iPod. The only worry I have is where the cable connects to the headpiece may be a possible weak spot, but so far so good.

Nice folding design, but way too tight on the head. The spring steel in the headband is way too stiff
