I bought these to use for oc gaming. They are good out the box and using an elgato interface to combo with my xlr mic has been nice. If you have the ability to i highly recomend tunning these bad boys. They literally changed the way I play games. Came from Astro A50 and I noticble diffrence. Would recommend any day.

Incredible for listening to music but also for gaming favorite wired headset to use

These headphones provide a truly spectacular listening experience. This is my first pair of Sennheiser's and I can clearly see why they're highly regarded. I do think they could have slightly more bass depending on your auditory situation but I prefer how crisp, clean and clear anything you listen to sounds.

Love these headphones, picked the up open box for 65 bucks. Best decision i made. sometimes the audio is so good im thinking its right in front of me!

Coming from a regular pair of headphones I’m no audiophile but you can tell the difference

These are the ones, if you want reference headphones and have a budget of about $200 get these headphones. You will truly enjoy music, I find myself listening to music for hours on end, compared to about a year ago when I had to remove my old headphones because my ears wold get hot due to the closed cups. I love the response on these Sennheisers. They are perfect and excited my expectations when it comes to sound quality.

Overall great. Great soundstage for gaming. Not meant for bass (it was still noticeably there though) has very analytical true to form tuning and listening especially for this price range in higher end headphone audio. If you’re buying this for competitive gaming you can’t go wrong here

I finally hear all the details without sound blurring together! Can hear how many players are around you, clearly hear their footsteps, and directionally consistent. Paired with a nice amp. Highly recommended.

I use these for gaming on PC and video editing. Great sound quality all around. Now keep in mind if you want to use them at their full potential, you will need an Audio headphone amplifier. I bought the Fosi Audio and couldn't be happier.

I was expecting a lot more from the hype of open back headphones, but for someone like me who’s into punk/pop rock and hardcore edm the “in your face” style of music just sounds empty and so much worse. Build was alright, but mostly not for me. I’m sure those who love classical and hearing every note may love it!

One of the best pair of headphones I've ever heard. Heard it called the 800S's little brother, but I haven't heard that headphone yet. I think out of all the ones I own so far (HD 660S, PC37X, PC38X, and HD 599), this is tied for first. For $200 it's a steal. On sale feels like armed robbery. Buy them.

Probably the best value if you’re looking for truly good sound. Build quality seems cheap, but as a Sennheiser, it’s bound to last a long time. Rich low-end with accurate mids. Used for mixing audio for videos, was impressed.

I bought these for gaming and just general music listening. I'm not an audiophile and don't have lots of experience with high end equipment these are probably the most high end headphones I've ever used. I have a small amp and with it I can most certainly hear the crisp mids and lows there isn't a lot of bass although it still is present but I appreciate the clean sound it has

Excellent headphones, very flat and super comfortable. These replaced my HD518s and I think they sound better.
