These are terrible I haven’t even had them a year and they are falling apart. The noise canceling is decent but the bass is just not enough. The right bud is falling apart and the left the sound is going out. I will never purchase these again, just a waste of money.

I had to unfortunately return this item due to the ear buds being to big and they hurt my ears. Also the sound quality was not great. I’m a sound technician and need to be able to hear music at a maximum quality.

For the last week I've been testing the Sennheiser Momentum sport earbuds. Overall, I have mixed feelings about these earbuds. The case is large. For some this may be a con but these are workout earbuds. So having a large case makes it easier to find in a gym bag. The heart rate and temperature sensors are really cool features and they perform very well. I just don't like that I needed to download the Polar app to be able to use it. Also, Polar requests too much phone access and requires way too much latitude on the personal data they collect. Fit and comfort were not that great. Achieving a comfortable and secure fit proved challenging. Despite trying all the included eartip sizes and combinations, the earbuds caused discomfort within 15 minutes. While the Sennheiser app's fit check tool helps ensure a good seal for optimal sound quality, it doesn't entirely address comfort concerns. As far as sound quality, the earbuds deliver a satisfying amount of bass, particularly enjoyable for hip-hop. However, some low frequencies caused noticeable driver clipping, which is a distortion issue I haven't encountered before in earbuds. Hopefully, a firmware update can address this. The highs lacked sparkle and the mids were somewhat muddy, resulting in a slightly veiled soundscape. I experimented with the equalizer in the Sennheiser app, but it wasn't enough to achieve my preferred sound profile. Despite these limitations, the overall sound quality remained acceptable. With that said, the case size, heart rate and temperature tracking are great features for workout earbuds. If you prioritize those features you may be happy with these earbuds. I just don't think the comfort and sound profile live up to the Sennheiser name

The Sennheiser - Momentum Sport Earbuds have a sound quality that you’d expect from a brand (and price point) like Sennheiser. There is good and not so good (from my perspective) to cover. Let’s start with the good. The sound quality is very nice. They’ve added a nice low end right out of the case with their default tuning. I was able to enjoy crisp high and mid ranges while getting a decent thump in the low end. Nothing like over the ear headphones of course, but that’s not really possible with ear buds yet. When you add in the Sennheiser app, you can tweak the EQ settings to your liking. There are a number of presets. You can also create and save your own sound profiles. There are three different noise cancelling/enhancing settings. ANC, Transparent, and Wind reduction. I haven’t been out in the wind, so I don’t know about that one. ANC is OK, but nothing to write home about. I’ve seen better and I’ve seen worse. The Transparent mode works well for letting in some ambient sound so you can talk to someone or keep aware of your surroundings. I did notice that I didn’t get the same level of pounding when my feet hit the ground like I do with other buds. I also notice a little less of an echo chamber in my head with I talk while wearing them when I’m in transparent mode. Not as great as I had hoped, but they are headed in the right direction. The controls aren’t bad. Nothing special really. Tap and hold one side to increase volume. Tap and hold the other side to turn it down. Tap to pause/play. Things like that. You can also control the different variation of ambient sound control with taps. The taps are customizable in the app, so you can set things up how you like. All the features you’d expect on buds at this price point. The new health features (temperature and pulse rate) are interesting. I don’t love wearing my smart watch when I lift weights, but I like to know what my heart rate is doing under different loads and see how quicky it is recovering. With these buds, I can glance down at the app and see where I’m at without having a watch on my wrist to get in the way of my routine. I verified that they match my smart watch as far accuracy goes. I’m not as concerned about body temperature, but I did verify the reading with a thermometer. Now let’s look at some of the things I don’t love about this product. Picking up where I left off, I’m not sure I really get the value of the new health features. Like I said, it’s cool for lifting when you don’t want a watch on, but otherwise, I just wear my smart watch. I’m not sure that earbuds need to be gunning for the smart watch market. Maybe I just don’t get it, but it felt a bit gimmicky to me. Next, they just don’t fit my ears well. I’ve tried all the variations of tips and extra securing wings. It’s just not as comfortable as I need it to be, and it’s not secure enough for an intense workout. I’ve read other reviewers that absolutely love them, so it’s going to come down to the shape of your ears. I have a hard time finding buds that I like to wear, so don’t read too much into my personal experience. This case is unusual. While I like that it supports wireless charging, the lid is rubber rather than a snap close plastic or magnet. It just feels flimsy, and I worry about it coming open. To be fair, that hasn’t happened, so maybe I just need to get used to it simply because it is different than what I’m used to. I also find that the extra security wings that help them stay in your ears can get in the way of the buds seating properly in the case. You need to take an extra second and ensure that you have them seated correctly to get them to charge. Up above, I told you about how much I like the sound quality. While that is very true, I will say that the enhanced bass that you can switch on and off in the app is not great for all applications. I found that some of my music sounded muddy with the enhanced bass mode switched on. While I was able to tune it somewhat with the EQ, I ultimately decided to just leave it off and build a bass heavy custom EQ. It’s not terrible, and on some songs, it really helps bring out the lows, but it wasn’t worth the muddy sound on some of the others. This is likely a personal preference that will be influenced by the type and quality of music you prefer. Overall, they are decent buds, but I found too many cons to go with pros for me to get too excited about them. I found them to be pretty good with sound, but just average everywhere else.

    Great Sounding Earbuds, Great App

There are a lot of great things to say about these earbuds. Most importantly, the sound quality is perfect. They are crystal clear with perfect low, mid, and high levels. You can also get plenty of volume from it. Upon using them for the first time, they required a firmware update. You can easily do it from the app. It took several minutes to complete this. I was able to get around 5 hours of play with just the earbud batteries. Using the case to allow the earbuds charge more gives you even more time. The app has a battery protection mode that will only allow the batteries to charge up to 80%. I always like devices that have this feature since this feature really does prolong the life of the unreplaceable batteries. The app works well and has a lot of great features. There is an equalizer that works well and allows you to change the sound quality although changing each band makes less of an impact than I would expect. You can also set a bass boost mode and podcast mode. The earbuds have an active noise cancelling feature. It does a very good job of cancelling noise in the immediate area. I can sit in front of my air conditioner, and it blocks most of the noise from it. The other modes it has are anti wind and transparency which do what they say. Those work equally well. The app can also read your heart rate and body temperature, and these seem accurate compared to my smartwatch. Those are fun to look at but I’m not sure they really add value, especially if you have a smartwatch on. To control things like play/pause, next track, and volume, you can tap on the left or right earbud in a certain place to make that change. This is one of the weaker features of it. The area to tap on the ear buds is very small and hard to find so I find myself tapping all over it until I find the right spot. Surprisingly, you can also tap your skin in front of your ear, and it works there as well, but that is really hit or miss. I think having a larger area to tap would help this. The fit is ok but not great. They just feel too loose and like they are always going to fall out. I’ve tried the different size caps, but nothing made it feel more secure. On other earbuds I have owned, I use the largest caps and those fit fine but not on these. There is also a feature in the app that helps you get the right fit but, in all cases, it says the fit is poor on me. I do wish they fit better as I am always afraid they will fall out and I will lose them. The case is another weaker point. The ear buds fit well in them, but it does not have an actual hinge to open and close it. It is basically a flexible flap. The good news is that it has an LED on it to tell you when it is charging and when it is done charging. This is strangely missing in so many devices nowadays and is something that I find important to me. Overall, these are great earbuds I will find myself using a lot. They sound perfect and the app is well done. I do wish the sensor to tap on was bigger and easier to find and that they fit a little better, but that may be the fault of my ears and not the earbuds. Now go and get yourself a pair.

The Sennheiser Momentum Sport Earbuds are my first venue into Sennheiser products, so I was looking forward to it. Unboxing the earbuds and the first thing you notice is the size of the case. It is bigger than most earbud cases today, but I'm not having any issues so far. I've had the case in my pocket with my phone and my keys and it was okay. The case comes with two different ways to charge the earbuds. The earbuds come up a USB-C to USB-A cord and it's about 18 inches. The earbuds can also be charged via Qi Wireless charging case. The earbuds also have an app to control additional settings called Sennheiser Smart Control. Once inside the app, not only can you adjust the equalizer and bass like you can on most earbuds, but these earbuds also provides heart rate and body temperature while working out. The app also provides a fit test to test the sound quality while the earbuds are turned on and inside your ears. You can also adjust the noise control. These earbuds aren't considered noise cancelling, but they every close based on the sound quality. The settings also allow different settings for music and for podcasts which is a plus. Battery life is very good. So far I have used these earbuds for four hours and I had plenty of battery life. My only issue with these earbuds is the price. As much as the earbuds provide, it doesn't match up to the retail price. I will recommend based on the quality and sound.

It’s not that I dislike these headphones, but I was expecting a better sound from Sennheiser, and then the fact that the “extras” aren’t all that great in reality kinda made me feel bummed and they seem overpriced. With the cost of everything going up, I understand our favorite tech will now cost more as well, but I think you can still get a good sounding high quality set of earbuds under 300. In my opinion, these should be in that price category. (If you see them on sale, grab them) The bonus extras of having a heart rate monitor and temperature readout is nice, but like others, I found it to be inaccurate when running, as if it got locked on my running steps and not my heartrate. But that’s speculation. All I know is my other heart rate monitor I was wearing did not match but DID have more fluctuation. On that same topic, these headphones boast working with polar, which is an app I didn’t use before, so I made an account, went through all of the mandatory check boxes of agreeing to share all my info with anyone that wants it (not a big fan of that) all to find out that the app really doesn’t make a lot of sense to me and doesn’t seem to do much without a subscription or other hardware. Honestly, I just deleted my account and decided that app wasn’t for me. I am trying to see if I can get the buds to work with my other health apps I use but so far I haven’t gotten it to work and unfortunately they want a review now before I was able to fully explore all the options. So I can’t talk on that part. What I can talk on is audio quality. They’re….pretty good. And I say that maybe a little unfairly because I’m holding the brand name to higher standards, but I have heard better quality from Sennheiser and these were a bit of a let down. Now I get that these are focused on sport use and not audio quality, but they have the ability to do both well, it just feels like they didn’t. Don’t get me wrong, these still sound really good and have a solid full range and thick bottom, crisp top etc, but they didn’t feel as powerful and punchy as I expected. I also don’t think the ANC works all that great. It definitely tunes out a fan or noises like that, but running in the wind was still not great and the anti wind was just ok. Again, a bit picky sure, but the advertising had me feeling like I could toss these on and run in comfort and good audio while checking my heartrate but I wasn’t getting great results in practice, maybe others will. So yeah, they’re not my favorites and those are my negative thoughts, but what is there to like? Well, like I said, the audio gets the job done. Picky audio people might have a complaint, but the general public will be happy. Unless you love muddy bass heavy for the sake of saying bass heavy, you won’t get that here, but you will get a well balanced sound, just missing that power. If you’re using these to work out, you probably need to be a bit aware of your surroundings anyway, and the transparency mode works great for that, which is a bonus. I also thought the app was actually pretty good. You can customize the layout a bit, you can see your temp and heart rate live, as well as the EQ and a few other settings. You also can change what the touch controls do for each bud which is nice and not on a lot of other headphones. Another great feature is the touch without touching ability. If you have gloves or a hat on, you can simply touch your cheek near your ear and the touch will (usually) go through. This was helpful when I wore them working in the yard with gloves on and was able to still skip tracks etc. You can NOT adjust the volume this way however since that touch input relies on a touch and hold function. Now, all that said, the touch sensitivity is a bit too much for me and I may have to turn this stuff off because of it. I always have to fiddle with the fit of buds because I can’t get them just right and every time I would touch the very outside edges to try to re adjust, they would start turning up or down the volume or pause, etc. While we’re talking about the fit, they do include the wing tips you can put on or off and 3 sizes, which is really nice, however I don’t feel like these are a very comfortable wingtip and even though I am usually a fan, I had to remove them because they were causing too much pain on my inner ear. They DID help hold the buds in, and on shorter runs with a lot of bouncing, I might just have to deal with them, but for extended wear I think I need to take them off. I have a pair from Bose that fit really comfortable, but these tips don’t feel that way. One last note, the ear tips are clear so the heart rate and temp can work, so if you wanted to replace them with more comfortable tips that are not clear, those features will not work anymore. I believe you can find replacements direct from the manufacturer and I’m sure 3rd party groups will or have made them, I haven’t looked yet because the included tips fit ok for me, but I know I tend to want to get replacements down the road for a better fit with my ear buds and these may be a little more tricky to find. OVERALL, I am still really happy with these buds, but I feel like they may be a specific target audience that will use them. Especially if you already use the polar app, then I think this would be a great addition. But if you don’t use that and are like me and don’t want yet another app downloaded to use something you bought, then you might be just as happy with something else. The perks of these buds are not the audio quality or build design or anything unique and special (outside the heart rate and temp reading and face touch) so if that’s not as important to you, you could buy some other Sennheiser products that may be a better match for you. If you are super sporty and love the idea of headphones that track your vitals for you too, these are a must have. It just depends on what person you are

The Sennheiser Momentum Sport Earbuds are an exceptional choice for anyone seeking premium sound quality and comfort. These earbuds deliver excellent sound making every beat and note clear, vibrant, and immersive. Whether you're at the gym, on a run, or simply enjoying your favorite tunes, the Momentum Sport Earbuds enhance every moment with their superior audio performance. One of the standout features of these earbuds is their sleek, lightweight design. This design not only looks stylish but also ensures that the earbuds stay securely in place during intense activities (they include different size fins and tips). The lightweight construction means you can wear them for extended periods without feeling weighed down, making them ideal for long workouts or daily commutes. The noise-cancellation capability of the Momentum Sport Earbuds is another highlight. This feature effectively blocks out ambient noise, allowing you to enjoy your music or podcasts without any interruptions. Whether you're in a noisy gym or on a bustling street, the noise-cancellation ensures that your listening experience remains undisturbed and pure. The heart rate monitor and body temperature tracking are a nice bonus with these seeming as though they are designed with the people who are looking for buds that can hold up to a work out (nice trick to lure you away from the competition). Durability is also a key strength of these earbuds. The water-resistant design means they can withstand sweat and light rain, making them perfect for all-weather use and intense workouts. You won't have to worry about damaging your earbuds during your most vigorous activities. However, it's important to mention that individuals with smaller ears might experience some discomfort during extended use. While the ergonomic design is generally comfortable and fits well for most users, the size and shape of the earbuds might not be ideal for everyone. Those with smaller ears may find that the earbuds become less comfortable after prolonged wear, which is something to consider if you plan on using them for long periods. Despite this minor drawback, the Sennheiser Momentum Sport Earbuds excel in sound performance and build quality. They reflect Sennheiser's dedication to delivering a premium audio experience. The impressive sound clarity, robust noise-cancellation, and durable design make them a standout option in the market. For anyone seeking top-tier audio performance combined with comfort and durability, the Momentum Sport Earbuds are a fantastic choice that won't disappoint.

I have had several sets of ear buds but these have got to be hands down my favorite for several reasons. First off they are IP55 weather resistant, so going out in the weather is not a big deal. Also they are Bluetooth and connected to my phone very fast and easy. I love the fact that i can change the song without touching the actual earbud. All you have to do is press in front of your actual ear to change the song. The fit is not a problem for me i do have bigger ears and there is a plethora of fittings so you get the correct size for your ear to make it comfortable and not fall out of your ears. Sound quality is great with great base but does not over due it and sound to thumpy. One of the coolest features is the ability to track your heart and tempter while working out or just walking around with the built in sensors. If this is not a feature you are looking for you can save some money and get a different set with the same sound quality. But if you go to the gym then these are for you. I tried to set them up with my apple watch and the Apple health does not seem to work with them. But there are other health apps you can use that work great. They also have Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation but it mite be just me the noise cancelation only seems to work ok. If you are in a loud area weights slamming you can still hear some background noise. It say they have a battery life of 24 hours and i don't know if its because I'm using the heart and temp tracker but i only get about 7 hours of use before needing to recharge them. I am thinking the 24 hours is if you are only listening to music and not using the sensors. All in all i really like them and do recommend getting them especially if you are a fitness nut.

Combining fitness tracking with 10 mm drivers

I really really wanted to love these. Moving fitness tracking into earbuds is not new but this is the newest attempt/iteration that I’m aware of. That Sennheiser, the company who makes most of the equipment I use, got me really excited for the sound quality. After all, with Sennheiser’s history and expertise producing in-ear monitors for professionals, it seemed like a toss up that sport ear buds would carry over some of that sound. I’ll start with the negatives, which are likely highly subjective given everyone’s ears are different, not in sound preference and physical anatomy. Combining multiple size ear tips with ear fins for added security was logically a good call for strenuous workouts. In practice, however, doing metcons with these in, I could constantly feel and “notice” the ear fins. They never fully popped out of my ears, but I did have to adjust them periodically. Secondly, the accuracy of the pulse tracking isn’t stellar. For steady runs, the readings matched my Apple Watch but any time I did HIIT exercises, it was all over the place. Finally, apps on apps. Predictably you need to download the Sennheiser Smart Control app to change EQ, ANC settings, etc. but for the fitness, you then need to also download an additional app by Polar to get the full readouts and trends. Thankfully, you can at least see the basic values of your temp and HR within the main Sennheiser app. For the good, the sound quality is punchy with a good amount of bass if that’s your thing. Ear tips were standard with varied sizes, and I found them to be comfortable enough. The fins provide added security and stability as stated above. Overall, the sound quality was on par with what I’d expect from a premium-priced offering from a well known sound company like Sennheiser. If you don’t already own an external gadget like a garmin/appke watch/etc, then this can be your one stop shop. If you already own any type of equipment that can perform fitness tracking, however, I’m not sure that the added price is worth the jump.

Great sound - the case could use some work though

Overall, I'm a fan of these Sennheiser earbuds - they're not perfect, but the produce a clean and rich sound that make it easy to hear on calls and listening to music a job - and the microphone pickup is quite good / clear as well. But are they for you? Read on to find out! Given that you're likely to be buying earbuds to either listen to content / music or take calls (or both) audio quality is and should be paramount - and these earbuds from Sennheiser have that in spades. The audio is rich, clear and accurately reproduced with a broad "sound stage" that belies the small size of the earbuds. While they're never going to have the overall range of a full room setup, they're shockingly good. Likewise, if you're using these earbuds for a call, you can be sure you'll be heard clearly as well. Setup is quick / easy, the earbuds seem to hold a strong charge and they're comfortable to have in your ears once you pick the right tip for your ear size (the medium works well for me). So, with ALL that good, why only a 4 star rating? For me, that's all about the case. While the earbuds are very small, the charging case is HUGE - seemingly nearly double the size it would need to be, which makes it hard to just toss in a pocket like you would with other competing buds. That's a huge negative. On top of the size of the case, it's also poorly thought out with a flexible fabricy piece connecting the lid and body which I can see wearing / tearing over time. Similarly the cover for the charging port has a flimsy and difficult to secure flap on it. The case is a detractor from what would otherwise EASILY be a five star product. So there you have it - a GREAT sounding set of earbuds let down by a case that needs a re-design. If the case ever DOES get a redeign, these would be a top pick for sport earbuds - as is, I can still recommend them, but with a bit more hesitation.
