Bought this for my husband for DJ gigs. It works very well, he loves it. He brought it to our recent trip overseas to watch movies on the plane. He was very happy that he had brought it and used it. I actually wanted one for myself. :)

The headphones have amazing quality. They were purchased for a college student doing studio work. One down side is that they are a bit snug but nothing that is unbearable. I may get another pair for myself.

I wanted head phones for travelling (long flights). These have been perfect. I wear hearing aids and have no problems with the headphones.

My experience with Sennheiser spans 40 years back to open-air 414 headphones. Like those, these sound great, are light and comfortable and seem sturdy. I like the longer cord and screw on 1/4" adapter. Got these on sale and am pleased to say I got a good desl.

    Sennheiser keeps their record untarnished

Amazing headphones for the price range, in fact i would say they are the best headphones for the $70 price range. First whats included, the headphones are obvioulsy included, but other than that there is a carrying case, the cord with a 3.5mm jack, and i cant remember if there was a 1/4 inch jack along with it for amplifiers or not because i havent opened the box back up for a while but forget it. These headphones are unique in what most people would want in DJ headphones. Instead of a rotating cup they rotate on the axis on the band, which causes you to be able to hear out of one ear and be completly alert with the surrounding, a new design in the industry that in my opinion is one of the best design ideas. Comfort wise these are great, they go around the ear and dont cause any pain, so i cant mark off there. These don't leak sound to much, if its an extreamly quiet room then people will notice, but at a whisper no one will. Which brings me up to the noise canceling part of the headphones. These are not noise canceling and dont require a battery to run these headphones, but they do isolate noise which is similar to noise canceling but not exactly the same and not on the same leverl. For durability these are good with build design, nothing is flimsy or weak in any way, and i have owned these for a while. The only problem i have, and i havent noticed a serious change yet but i have noticed slight changes to the sound quality, is the single earcup cord attachment. This might not cause as much tangleing but this is a problem because the cord can break inside of the headphones( it has to go through tthe rotators to get to the other cup) and this makes dangerous for the cords durability. Now for sound quality, which you should be waiting for. These are very balanced headphones which can increase bass to a sutable amount for hip hop, rap, and other genres of that type. Drumlike noises are reproduced well enough to know that they are there and to tell what specifically is being played. Vocal wise these are average, nothing amazing or weak about them, but they help maintain the balance of sound. Guitar like noises are reproduced a little above average but dont overpower the rest of the headphones. Electronics are not reproduced amazingly but again help out with the balance of headphones. Bass wise these are great and can be adjusted if you use the eq right, nothing overpowers the song or makes it worse. Great pair of headphones for the $70, reccomend for everyone since they are balanced in every way, and can be adjusted for bass heavy people. Just for info these are not as amazing as say $100 headphones, they just provide good quaality for the lower price

I've had these headphones for over a year now and haven't had any problems with them. Overall I'm happy with them. If you have a big head, like me, you might find them to be a little on the tight side. They do loosen up after a while but not much. The sound quality is excellent for this price range. When compared to the BOSE headphones I found them to be pretty similar. I give the HD 205 the nod as far as bass response. The BOSE set, however, does a better job of separating the highs, mids, and lows. If you want good headphones ,and don't want to spend $300 on Dre Beats or $100+ on BOSE, I would definitely recommend these.

They were very comfortable for me and I loved the sound quality but sadly just from wearing them around the house the wires broke and could not be spliced back. I have to agree with other people that the cord was ridiculously long but i just wrapped multiple twist ties around it and ignored how silly it looked. I would buy it again for the price and sound due to the fact I did get my moneys worth out of the 1.5 years it lasted.

    Died on me.

I purchased these headphones in March 2009 at the Best Buy in Greenwood, IN. From the moment I started listening to them, I noticed the excellent sound quality. Whether I used them with my iPod, my computer, or my mixer board, everything was perfect... Until December. I was listening to some music, and the right headphone completely died. I thought it might be because I'd used these headphones almost daily since I purchased them in 2009, so I gave them a rest and tried them later to see if the problem was just temporary. It wasn't. Sennheiser is excellent all-around, but they wouldn't honor the 2-year warranty included with these headphones because of Best Buy's famous disappearing-ink thermal receipt paper. Don't get me wrong, though--Sennheiser makes great products, and their warranty department is great if you are able to provide a receipt that can be read. Unfortunately, in my case, I was unable to do so. I would definitely recommend this product. They were excellent, durable headphones while they worked, and the sound quality was nothing short of perfect. They blow the $100 Bose headphones out of the water. More importantly, though, I would recommend keeping your receipt in a place where it won't fade for the warranty period. I learned the hard way what happens if you don't. Because my pair died, though, I can only give these three stars. Hopefully, you'll have better luck if you decide to buy a pair of these.

    It hurts!

I returned mine. I could only wear it 5-10 minutes at a time before it started hurting my head. My head is not particularly large for a grown man. But, the ear-pieces were too small to cover my ears. Also, the pressure placed on my head was too much to bare. The only adjustment is the length from crown to the ear-pieces. The construction is cheap-ish: nasty cheap plastic. The sound was OK, but nothing remarkable.

    Another review quoting discomfort

These were pitched to me as: "You need these, they have great noise isolation, rotating ear cup, long cord, etc."... So I bought them. Took them on a trip the next day and realized something... What do I need the rotating cup or long cord for? Last time I checked I'm not a DJ. They sounded good though so I could look past the insanely long cable. Then a half-hour later I couldn't keep these things on my head, so the rest of the 3 hour trip to and 3 hour trip back I had to lower them behind my head to decrease the pressure, well then they started leaking sound, so I had to switch to an audio book from my music so I wouldn't bother those next to me. Still haven't found the perfect headphones.

The sound is good in my opinion, but the headset is very uncomfortable. Just too tight-pulling across the ears. It's a discomfort I am willing to live with considering the low cost compared to other headphones

They are great. Have had them for 2 years now, and mind you i dont take carr of them very well. They've been dropped and stepped on once and there is still no damage. The sound i think is very good. I like that i came with the studio style jack or 3.5mm. I will buy another pair for sure. Most importantly i use these EVERY day, i dont have speakers and i'm a hardcore gamer. Downside is that when i bought them they were tight on the ears hurt, loosened within a week.

Im very happy with the headphones, they are well balanced and have a good bass also. I think they´re very versatile, since i listen to pretty much a lot of genres, and it pulls the job. For the money this are superb! I have heard that they are not comfortable, but for me they are, you just need to tweak them a little bit. In terms of durability as long as you act normally with the headphones and don´t open them like crazy, there´s no problem at all. Soundwise as long as is good quality music, they will sound great! they also isolate good for being passive headphones, when you just turn the volume a little, forget about external noise! I also use them to produce electronic music and they help me a lot! Worth checking them out!

Headphones are poor fit - can only wear them for only short period of time before excess pressure is felt around the ears on the side of the head. The ear pieces are designed too small to cover most adult ears and need to have a softer feel (like Bose, for example). The construction is plastic and has a cheap feel to it. Most surprisingly, the sound is only mediocre. Best Buy at the time, would not allow an in-store demo on this model. I expected more quality from Sennheiser but di not get it.

Great Sound - A bit tight on my head after a while

I love the sound I get from these headphones. My wife and son both have a pair. The long cord lets me relax with whatever device I am hooked up to. Over time, the headset is tight on my head, and can get a little uncomfortable. I hope they stretch a little to let me wear them for extended periods of time. Great value for the money!

I bought these as a gift for my teenage son, so far so good. He really likes the sound quality. It's a little too early to tell about the durability, it's only been a couple of weeks. We've had others that have fallen apart after just a couple days use.
