I am very happy with the decision to buy this mattress, I like it and it feels comfortable, I recommend it

When we first got this, it seemed to small for the box it was in. Once I let it out of the box, I realized it was folded in half, then also needed to inflate. But since it was folded in half, it seemed too small. It is not. That said, it takes the full 48 hours to inflate. And one of the corners took a bit longer. But none-the-less, it is up and running and we have had time to adjust to it. My wife is a super firm bed person, and I'm not. So this was an interesting choice. It is not firm. But it is not plush either. To this end, my wife purchased a gel foam "firm" topper to use with it as she thought it might be a way to firm things up. But it wasn't. In fact it wasn't firm at all, it sank quickly down to the mattress top where laid upon. That to me is plush and firm is a mattress that doesn't sink down like that. Keeping this in mind, the mattress may say PLUSH, but it is firm enough to be comfortable and not too firm that there is no give. Frankly I'm a very big guy, and I found it very comfortable. When I hit the edge of the bed, I can see it is using the springs to keep it from failing. And when I'm laying in bed, I cannot feel the springs. I feel very comfortable in this mattress. Before you discount this as a plush, I'd say it would be perfect for those who like semi-firm, or a mattress with some give to it. Frankly I found the extra firm one we had was so firm there was no give at all. Hips would hurt and so would shoulder, because it would not give at all. The box weighed about 50lbs, and it was easy enough to drag up the stairs. Unboxing it was easy and then letting it unfold and inflate was quick. But the trick is to find a place it can be left alone for a full 48 hours to inflate completely. Plus there is a small but not offensive odor that emanates from it for that same period of time. After that, no smell at all. Honestly, I'm so glad to have had a chance to give this a try - I never would have tried it since it says PLUSH and my wife would have been like "No way"....but has since settled into it and likes it. It really feels decent and as though it will be around for awhile.

This mattress replaced a 5-year-old traditional spring mattress that was purchased with my daughter’s bed. After using this new Simmons hybrid mattress for a few weeks, I feel bad that I did not do more research the first time. She always complained that she could feel the springs in her old mattress. We had tried foam toppers to make her old mattress more comfortable, but they made her hot and moved around. She spends a lot of time in her bed playing games and doing school work (I know - what about sleeping - she is a teenager!) so a comfortable mattress is very important to her and she loves the soft feel for sleeping with springs for support when she is sitting up. Pros - Avoiding the traditional furniture store hassle. - Really fun to unbox and watch expand (wish I had it on video) - Good quality materials and stitching. - Hybrid - plush top over springs is a great combination for people who like a soft comfortable mattress, while still giving you support. - Cooling top works great and addresses one of my previous issues with memory foam tops. - Wrapped springs are very quiet and not bouncy (no creak) Things to Consider - The box is easier to handle than a regular mattress, but it is still heavy - so you will likely need some help (especially if you have a full size or bigger). - The mattress had a slight plastic smell when it was opened, but this went away quickly, and I like that it is independently certified for air quality.

Yeah, it was only a few years ago when I declared I would never consider buying a mattress online. So, this is our first mattress purchase, sight unseen. I wish I’d taken pictures of the process, but it’s more fun to describe with words. UNPACKING: Our queen-size 12” plush hybrid mattress looked more like a giant, flattened, folded pancake encased in a sealed plastic sleeve as it came out of its rugged box. Use the cutting tool provided by Simmons because it protects the mattress while it easily slices the tough plastic protective material. Once we’d cut away the plastic, the mattress unfolded and began to fill out like a butterfly after exiting its chrysalis. All this took only 20 minutes until the now, mostly inflated, mattress looked like its name. DESIGN and our SLEEP EXPERIENCE: Serta’s Simmons 12" Plush Hybrid Mattress is an attractive, well built bed, with a rich feel as you lay on top of it. The layer of foam has a unique but effective combination of density and temperature-sensitive body contouring. It has all the expected features of memory foam, although a bit slower to respond to our bodies. My body melted a limited amount into the mattress, and felt that special memory foam support in all the right places. All this soft comfort rests on top of a layer of large, individually wrapped coils that contribute some isolation from my partner’s movements. In addition, the spring layer offers the … well … springiness that makes a mattress less leaden feeling and more fun. SUMMARY: ODORS: [Perhaps from manufacturing or outgassing.] Develops to its highest level within 24 hours; dissipates in a few days. Placing a carbon-filtered air purifier in the room speeds things up, or just open a window. Some people will not be as forgiving of the odors as we are. FIRMNESS: Initial minutes each night, Firm to Very Firm. After 15-30 minutes, bed appears to be more medium to firm. Body heat helps. As a back sleeper I noticed increasing support in my lumbar region as my body settled into the foam a bit. It was not excessive settling. HOT/COOL sensation: My wife and I have quite opposite needs related to temperature management and sensitivity. I found the mattress to be perfectly warm for my needs. My wife had her usual too warm/too cool concerns. These differences are often addressed with the right choice in mattress toppers. PARTNER MOVEMENT: “A distant rumble.” We’re aware of each other’s movements, but it seems somewhat distant and not annoying. RECOMMENDED. Yes, this Serta - Simmons Plush Hybrid mattress is easy to recommend. Mattress comfort is too subjective for me to confidently claim YOU ought to buy this bed and you will feel the same way as we do. But, comparing this mattress to several much more expensive mattresses we’ve owned over several decades underscores just how much of a good value this one is. It is a very comfortable bed.

Very soft but still supportive. Better than the memory foam mattress I spent almost a thousand dollars on. Great purchase for someone on a budget.

Great concept, mattress in a box. A little heavy but easier to move than an open mattress. After letting it sit for almost a week, very comfortable just the right amount of softness. I bought this for my daughter (16), I might buy the king size version for me

I was quite skeptical about ordering this matteess. But after unpacking it and sleeping on it, its comfortable. For me its like it remembers your initial spot where you laid so sometimes it is hard to adjust. Whike the directions say there isnt a need to turn or flip the mattress, i am very tempted to turn it just to see the difference.

I never buying a mattress from Best Buy and this is my first time and guest what? " I love it" The mattress ( serta) is a great quality mattress very confortable soft, great material and I definitely if in a future I need to buy another mattress I will do from them. Extremely High recommended.

I was a little leary about getting a "bed in a box" but was really surprised by how comfortable it is and we really like it! We'd really been wanting a hybrid mattress for a while but prices are just so high for anything good, and we couldn't afford it. We were moving and really needed a new mattress bad, so I took a chance on this one, thinking it might be temporary until we could afford a new mattress. If it stays this comfortable, we won't need a more expensive one! Only took one star away because we just got it, so I don't know how it will be long term.

Wish the foam on this mattress was thicker. Closer to the edge of the mattress I can feel the coils at times. Otherwise it’s fine.

Its a mattress, the springs push out on the side , not enough to tear but enough to bug someone with sensory issues.

If you have a very old bed and need or want a new one but are on a budget, this isnt too bad.
