I liked the story and the special effects. Unfortunately Jeff Bridges was awful with his garbled voice you couldn't understand half of what he was saying. If it's really cheap maybe I would recommend buying it. Otherwise I would save my money.

The movie was just ok. The characters seemed familiar and the story was a mix between Dragon Slayer and Sourcer's Apprentice, with some King Author thrown in. It's not one of the movies I plan to see again soon.

Legendary normally puts out very good films, but this one was a little below par...the "story" could have unfolded a lot smoother. Some good actors....some not so good.

Movie drags a lot, has a strong start with some great actors, but feels like it didn't live up to its potential. Nothing you'll miss if you don't watch it.

Storyline seems decent, but the execution was terrible. Action and graphics were a solid B, but the acting was terrible and deserves a F or D at best.

As a science fiction fan, I was drawn to watch this movie with low expectations...now I know why it lasted only 1 week at my local theater

Although not as bad as a B grade scifi/fantasy—I'd give it an A- at best—this can be watched from beginning to end at least once.

Jeff Bridges, what were you thinking? I generally, really like him in anything, but whooo this one stinks on ice.

I had high expectations. Unfortunately, I should've lowered those expectations.

The previews seemed better than the movie. I was disappointed.

But I sure should have! This is one of the worst movies I have seen in years, I cringed every time Jeff Bridges opened his mouth. Why would he try to ape an accent when no one else attempted it? Add to that all the plot issues and I can see why I can't give this DVD away.

I would of enjoyed it much more if the CGI wasn't so hoky.

Started watching and lost interest in it half way through

Nothing like the book. I loved the book and this was just a terrible adaptation of the story and hardly follows the original story at all.

look cool on back of the blue-ray when i pick it up. went to sleep during the movie.

This is a really good movie. The special effects are great. I listened to this movie with my sound bar and the sound quality is great. The best part of this movie is when Julianne Moore changed into a fighting dragon. I enjoyed the way Jeff Bridges talked. The plot of this movie was really good. I Would recommend to anyone.

Jeff Bridges is one of my favorite actors...Not his strongest performance but still very entertaining...

just the right amount of everything for an evening at home
