One of the finest PS2 games of that era, and the original version still holds up. The PS4 edition is fantastic if you have never played the game- the visuals, the story, the scale, the music! is all fantastic. If you already have the ps3 remaster, it's arguable still worth it.

I have never played this game before as a kid. Even as time went on, I continued to hear how incredible the game is. Once they announced that there was going to be PlayStation 4 remaster, I was excited and waited for that to come out instead. The gameplay itself is okay. Riding the horse is 50/50, it either wants to listen or it doesn't. The camera still is a bit of a struggle. The game play is vague and frustrating, and incredibly slow. Not a game for those with less patience. The music was great, and the visual aesthetic value of the game was equally as impressive. But the game play, in my opinion, is it's mediocre feature.

This game is amazing! With the updated graphics it just makes it that much better. Story still has a heavy emotional impact that lingers long after you finish the game. Not too hard but not that easy either if you're new to the game. I'm still blown away by the scale of the Colossi you encounter and the semi open world feel. A must play through at least once.

Bluepoint made a remaster the right way. The controls, visuals, music, and mechanics are re-worked and make the game even better than before. A must play!

After having playing the HD remaster of the original game PS3, I can safely say this is the most stunning remaster of a game I've every seen. It's a timeless story that is just as poignant and moving as it was back in the day, but now with visuals that have been completely redone from the ground up for the modern era. If you haven't played this before and are interested in great story telling in games I think you owe it to yourself to play this.

Shadow of the colossus is a game worthy to be in your gaming collection, not only because it's unique but it excels in many other areas such as graphics, story, gameplay. There has never been any game that has made you feel so small compared to these 16 towering monsters. The game will have you immersed from beginning to end, the game is a treat for those who have played it before and is a must for those who have never experienced this gem of a game.

I never got the chance to play this game back when it came out on PS2 and PS3 so I decided to try out this remake and boy I'm glad I did. The story, gameplay, and graphics are really great and interesting. The controls are easy to understand but the camera can be a little annoying at times. Overall its a phenomenal experience and a game that I'd definitely recommend to anyone who hasn't played the game before.

first of all the game is awesome good remastered graphics the best part is the special edition the steel book is amazing! and the outside box is cool and the steel book is in another box covered in awesome art then the extra dlc and artbook is awesome and dont forge the cool stickers good thing I got it while I could it was sold out everywhere right away!

I played and fell in love with Shadow of the Colossus on the PlayStation 2, it became one of my favorite games of all time. Returning to that world on the PS4 with new controls, graphics, and an improved framerate has been amazing and is the definitive experience for new and returning players. Still one of the best ever.

This is a remake of a game that proved that video games were art. This is hand down the greatest game ever made. It was built from the ground up using 100% original assets. The only thing not remade was the code for the AI.

I had heard about this game, but this is my first time playing it. It is definitely an amazing journey. Discovering each colossi and figuring out how to climb them is a lot of fun especially on the first time. The game is short, but I think that it works for this game. The open world is empty for story reasons, but there are still a few things to discover. I think the game is at it's best when you simply focus on finding the colossi and along the way you may see something interesting an decide to explore. It also looks great, especially the colossi (their hair is great), even on the base PS4. The best thing about the game is the minimalist story and the unique colossi puzzles. The only issue I have had is controlling the horse while riding, but I got used to the other controls easily.

Shadow of Colossus for the PS4 is a reminder of how great the first game was. The graphics have been drastically upgraded and the controls have been simplified and fit better for the modern gamer. This game is a must buy!

Shadow of the Colossus is one of the greatest examples of "video games as art" in the past couple decades, and so deserving of the ground-up remake it received. The atmosphere of the forbidden lands is very high fantasy, and every vista is breathtaking in this remade PS4 version of a PS2 classic. It may not be for everyone: it doesn't have non-stop action that some folks seek, and the narrative isn't spoon-fed and open to interpretation, and the controls might take a newcomer a moment to get used to. However, for those who enjoyed it before, and for those willing to discover what it's all about, this game does pretty much everything it sets out to do perfectly.

As usual, Bluepoint Games did an amazing job bringing an old title back from the archives and breathing new life into it. The gameplay, soundtrack and colossi are all just as you remembered

This is a remake from a PS2 classic with modern controls and updated graphics to make the gameplay enjoyable for modern players. Just as good as before.

The new visuals shine and there have been some minor improvements to the controls and experience that make Shadow of the Colossus a pleasure to revisit.

This game is a remake of the 2005 game Shadow of the Colossus, a game that was already seen as a masterpiece in plenty of people's eyes. While this remake may have touched on the controls slightly (basically swapping some button mappings), the core gameplay has remained unchanged. The graphics, on the otherhand, stand up with other games from this generation, and show a lot of love and care went into preserving the world presented here.
