I know that I went to the movies 6 different times to see this movie when it first came out! Over time, I have a DVD copy, a Blu-Ray copy, and now a 4K Ultra Blu-Ray Copy. This is one of my favorite movies of all times. That music score is superb. None better! I still watch this movie from time to time, and it never get old! A must see, and own!!

This is a classic and this 4k version of the movie is the best it has ever been available. Very good transfer and gives an excellent looking version of the movie. Solid blacks and good details. Especially since the movie was a low budget movie at the time. Good job on this classic.

This crime film is definitely much better than the sequels that followed later on. It even won an Oscar for the title song. I like the performances of Richard Roundtree, Moses Gunn and Charles Cioffi.

The original MGM Shaft 1971 now released in 4K Ultra Criterion Collection is a gold mine of deleted material and other treasure trove of goodies

The remastering is done to perfection. The audio transfer has great separation doing justice for this great soundtrack recorded in mono, yet it fooled my ears sounding stereo. Many on location shots of how Times Square wonderfully appeared back in the day. Felt like I was visiting an old friend the Orange Julius parlor stands. This is a fun story & Richard Roundtree is excellent!
