After 5 years of using the Dyson Powerball Pet vacuum this was a very great switch. This is a must for pet(dogs) owners. We have a german shepherd and a long haired pomeranian mix so they do shed for their season change. I will say the vacuum brushes sort of pull themselves (which i think is pretty nice). This vacuum is very quiet compared to the dyson as well. I didn’t quite like the attachments for the stairs at first, but i eventually got the hang of it. Our stairs are rug/carpet and i will say you will not be disappointed with this purchase.

I originally purchased one of the Dyson vacuums but after one time using it on stairs, I returned it and purchased this one. With the powered liftaway option, this machine is perfect for stairs. Our floors are a combination of carpet and hardwoods and this machine transitions flawlessly and effortlessly between the 2 surfaces with no changes needing to be made. One of the best features is the DuoClean technology. With the front spinning roller, this is perfect for debris on hard surfaces. No more sweeping! As for the suction power, I would say it is as good or better than the Dyson. Another thing about this one is how easy it is to carry and use the wand compared to the Dyson. The Dyson wand/hose combination was very stiff and cumbersome to use and maneuver. The shark is a piece of cake. The hose is very flexible and easy to move around. All in all, this is the best vacuum I have ever purchased/owned. I highly recommend this machine to anyone in the market for a new vacuum.

The power of this vac is beyond belief! Easy to steer and control with the different settings and attachments that come with it. Heavy Duty cleaning at your fingertips, Might buy another for the second floor!

I have been sweeping all mylife this is the best and my favorite sweeper easy handled great power when sweeping easy to empty and light weight.it doesn’t get hair or other debre stuck on the rollers.

Purchased this as a replacement for a Dyson DC41 that finally died. This cleans just as well as a vacuum that costs nearly double; what is unique about the Apex is the Lift Away feature. Makes cleaning stairs a breeze, and even cleaning all the way under a king sized bed with ease. Excellent vacuum at an incredible price.

What a great vacuum with all the bells and whistles at a great price. Love the way it vacuums on hard wood floors and on carpet. On hardwood floors the soft brush does a great job of vacuuming dust, when viewing the floor half complete with the sunlight hitting the floor you can see the difference. The vacuum feels nicely built, in my opinion it vacuums deeper than our older shark vac. The accessories with this vacuum are well built and get the job done. Two of my favorite attachments, 1. Extended arm that is thin and powerful when vacuuming under couches and entertainment center. 2. Soft bristled brush that extends to vacuum ceiling fans without scratching blades.

Owned a shark professional and the duo clean blows it away. The ability to go from carpet to hardwood with no changes is awesome seems to have better suction than the pro...only flaw I have is no powered upholstery brush but I’ll live

Have been very pleased with Shark APEX, but read the box before you buy. Showed the pet attachment and talked about the pet attachment, even had animals on the box, but pet attachment not included. Was a lot of attachments in the box, but the one I really wanted, wasn't. For the price I figured everything should be included, but additional funds will be required to complete the pet function. Too bad, cause operationally, has been a great vacuum, strong suction, easy motion, easy waste disposal, and stores easily away. Just one attachment away from 5 stars.

Lots of attachments, unfortunately the hose isn't long enough. The canister falls over way to easily and it's pretty heavy which makes it harder to maneuver.

We have 2 Dysons and this vacuum has proven that it can easily stand up to them without a problem, and for less money.

I got this to replace my Shark Navigator that I loved. Even though this is heavier than my last Shark, I still love that it's so easy to clean and does a great job.

I was skeptical at first but have really been impressed with this unit. Vacuum does work very well on both carpet and hardwood/tile surfaces. I will say once I first un-boxed and put together this unit I thought is was going to be a little on the heavy side but once we started using it all is fine. I am coming to this vacuum from a Dyson and I am very impressed as this vacuum does every bit as good as the Dyson.

Bought this vacuum, and out of the box, every accessory was missing, best buy did take care of me and trade it out for another. Out of the box, best vaccuum I have ever owned. Has very strong suction (almost will consume and entire shirt before jamming) roller/brush combo is great for all cleaning. We have mostly hardwood with 2 carpeted rooms and a big rug, always filled the canister since we have a large labradoodle. But definately held enough that you dont have to empty mid way through the house. The led lights on it, and the ones on the hose are perfect for helping find pet hair on the hard wood. Everything was all fine and dandy until 10 months in, the brush on the head quit working. A replacement is 90 bucks, and from the reviews I read, customer service/repair/replacement/communication with the company were terrible, so I never tried to have them fix it. I went with a different vaccuum and have retired this one to the car cleaning vaccuum, the hose still works great, just not usable any longer on the floors.

Works like a charm. Suction is very strong and almost rivals my festool dust collector in my woodworking shop. Picks up pet hair that my older Shark missed.

Great suction. Attachments are great. A little heavy but overall a great vacuum would definitely recommend it.

We bought this to replace our old Dyson vacuum that had lost all power and was easily clogged with pet hair. This vacuum has great suction and works great switching from hard wood floor to carpet. It's a bit heavy but its kind of self powering so that makes the weight less of an issue. We check often to make sure it's not clogged with pet hair and so far, no problems.

This is the best vacuum that I have ever seen in my life it is so powerful and I can do anything with it

originally owned a shark for the past two years and loved it. this model hands down was worth the 150 over the past models price tag. the quality and finish is beautiful and the power and clean is unrivaled. being able to use just the brushroll carrying the canister with you makes stairs so easy as well. love the look love the feel and love the product.

This product comes with quite a few attachments and covers most all the bases. It is equally good on hard floors and carpet. I would buy again.
