Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just had a top-notch General Contractor install this trim kit around my new Sharp microwave into an existing cabinet which used to hold a Dacor microwave and trim kit. The Sharp trim kit looks like the lazy kid in high school metal shop made it. None of the 45 degree angles met without an 1/8" gap. The vent opening at the top is so large that it sticks beyond the granite counter above. The supposed 30" width of the trim (which is what the oak cabinet is) is closer to 30 1/8", thereby hanging beyond the edges. It is depressingly low quality workmanship. The Dacor had a sleek trim kit with all edges mitered perfectly. Even though the Dacor was added after-the-fact of the kitchen remodel all the dimensions synched well with the cabinets. This Sharp trim kit is pug ugly. My contractor (who spent 90 minutes installing it) said it was the most complicated trim kit he had ever worked with in 40 years.

Not a perfect fit

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Even after adjusting the base about 1/4" forward of what the instructions call for, the microwave door STILL does not open to its full position without binding on the left side of the frame. It is close but not what I would expect after what I had to pay for this kit.
