The best TV in its class

Sharp did a great job with this TV. When I wanted to upgrade my Samsung 55 240hz 3D, I compare both models with the 70 Sharp 240 Quattron technology which by the way it is the same technology that Elite uses and the Samsung 65, I was so glad I went with Sharp not only because of the price, but the picture quality is amazing.

We needed a tv to replace a broken plasma. After much consideration and shopping around local electronic retailers for a 70" 3d hdtv. We settled for Sharp 70LE735U with its exceptional picture quality and performance for an LED. It really does display great picture and the sound complements it with the old home theater system. Unfortunately, 3d glasses do not come with the tv, so I purchased a generic glasses and it looks great. The Sharp really looks and performs great. One spectacular hdtv worth the time and money spent.

Bought tv for 2889 got blue-ray player and 2 pairs of glasses for free. Picture quality very good, sound is decent, but will be buying a sound bar for it. Haven't tried 3d out yet. Store was pushing calibration for it, for 200 bucks but tv looks perfect right out of the box!.. It's like looking thru a window..

    Useful Trick for 3D viewing

Overall love the TV. I do suggest calibrating, it helps a lot. Here is the trick while viewing 3D there is some cross talk (ghosting), on some movies, not all, not sure why. Trick is have the OPC on during 3D viweing, once I did that cleared up 80% of ghosting. The movie is now watchable, and enjoyable, you can still see hints of ghosting , but not enough to aggravate...

Have had this TV for about a month. Geek Squad installed this TV with a BOSE sound system, Harmony All in One Remote, and a 3D Blue Ray Player. The installation team was top notch! 3D is much better than I expected. Very satisfied with this choice.

I was very dissapointed with the amount of DSE (Dirty Screen Effect) on this TV. It was very noticeable on light backgrounds that had any movement. Also had some very noticeable uneven backlighting during dark scenes. Really liked the size of this TV, color, and brightness on most media, but the DSE killed it. If you want to learn more about DSE, go to the AVS forums. BTW, after an exchange, I ended up with the Panasonic VT30, which I am very happy with.

Television is good as of this date but a disappointment that when I buy a 70 inch 3D Television that no body tells me there are no 3D glasses that come with the set and when I go to the store to get some none are available. I am not happy after spending over $5,000 and not to this date been able to enjoy one 3D movie yet.

Has some quirks that I couldnt live with. Refresh or motion Speed too slow, got pixelation during football throws, etc, still choppy motion in both settings. Dark scenes would distort dark clothing and dark hair within the scene. Didnt take much calibration to get the best picture and color I have ever seen though. Still, wasn't a keeper. Got the high end plasma panasonic viera 65 instead. 5 stars on the Viera', no quirks, just quality picture, but did have to calibrate the heck out of it.

. I Bought The 70" TV The Picture Doesn't Look Good At All . Geek Squad Messes With It And Picture Doesn't Get Any Better .The 3d Is Probably One Of The Worst That I Have Seen . Sound Is Not Good .Basically The Only Thing It Has Going For It Is It's Seventy Inches. Quanatron Doesn't Really Do Anything Everything Looks Good In The Store . And They Over Sell You On Everything . Everything You Don't Need . Geek Squad Was Horrible I Still Have Problems They Send A Crew Out And They Do Nothing But Complain They Don't Want To Fix Someone Elses Mess Up. And Tell You Are Supervisor Will Be In Touch And Still Haven't Heard From Anyone . This Whole Thing Is A Joke . .For This Kind Of Money You Should Get A Good Product. I Own 2 Other Sharp TV's 60" That Have A Beatifull Picture With NO Quatron. Buy The Cheaper Model.

You'll need to spend time dialing in the picture

So after countless phone calls w/Sharp, 2 technician visits, 20 photos (inclusive of comparisons to my Sony XBR), and 2 days of taking off work - Sharp now says my tv is within spec and to sum it, I'm SOL. I've called the company that I purchased it from to get rid of it which they're working on now. I may have dialed it in on my own last night, but definately will need to be professionally calibrated to get it within my spec (not sharps based on camera photos). On both occasions, Sharp sent out a technician to calibrate the tv, however when he showed it was to replace 2 core components of the tv. 2nd technician visit was supposed to be to swap the tv, however this technician showed up with the same 2 core components to replace that I had done 2 weeks ago. Sharp Aquos customer service was good, but the dispatch team doesn't support the customer service relayed information as to what's going to occur

I am not sure why this tv recvd so many 5 star ratings. Maybe if this is your first lcd tv you will be happy, but you really must work to get a good picture on this model. I had to spend $350 for pro setup to get a very good pic with bluray....any other source is just ok, but not great. It def has an issue on the screen that make the image look dirty. Check out AVS Forum for end user details and issues with this model. I thought about returning, but decided to keep just because of the pain to return something so large.

I bought the Sharp LC70le735U in Mexico from a respected authorized dealer (LIVERPOOL). I made a huge mistake, I bought this set based on the good reviews found on the net. And sincerely I am very disappointed. I checked picture quality against my 2008 46" Samsung TOC with diney´s BD Tangled and I was shocked by the difference and the poor quality of my new Sharp. Please take my advice, check for yourself the quality that this set offers. I´ll try to calibrate it with the Disney WOW BD, so hopefully my followup will be better, if not, I will return it and go back to Samsung, but at 60". I don't have nothing to say about sound cause I have a pretty decent HT (Pioneer Elite, with Def Tech speakers) and the extra features are pretty average. Maybe i got a bad set?? that I do not know. Do not rely your shopping decision on the reviews it won't hurt you to CHECK FOR YOURSELF.
