I decided to stay with the Sharp brand as my previous microwave was 23 yrs old, and by the way, its still works. My only disappointments for not giving it 5 stars is that the glass turntable is slightly smaller than the 12" turntable in my previous microwave and the oven light does not come on when you open the door, but only during cooking.

Should of had a light when opened

The light only comes on when you start it up & I can’t understand why the light doesn’t come on when u first open it. That doesn’t make no since to me.

Decent small microwave

The biggest downside is the light stays on if you leave the door open. Sometimes I just want to air out the microwave after using it but the light won’t go off until I close the door. Wish the light would only be on when the microwave is in use. Otherwise overall it’s a pretty good unit.
