Got it home, set it up, and I realized three things right off the bat: 1) It has features, all right, but the buttons aren't a "familiar" pattern. 2) The display is dark, making it difficult to read the buttons you want to push; 3) This 1000w microwave weighs TWICE what my old one (NOT a Sharp) weighted (and cost twice as much). Be sure to put it on something STABLE before use. 4) This is the first time I've had to pull out a user guide in 15 YEARS to figure out how to do things other ovens do more intuitively. All in all not worth returning it, and it works fine - once I can see the darn buttons!

Turntable plate easily moves off the base and is frustratingly difficult to align and seat properly. Just a needlessly poor design. Also the trim on the outside front around the door release button lifted and became unattached within less than a year, and we're gentle with it. Our old Sharp microwave was better quality and lasted 20+ years. I doubt this model will last much more than half that. Product design should improve over time, not regress. Disappointed.

When you open the door to get your heated food, the light does not come on. Plus, the buttons are not user-friendly with Start button and Cancel button. Constantly having to reprogram time to cook. Would look for other microwaves if I was purchasing another, which I might anyway!
