Turntable plate easily moves off the base and is frustratingly difficult to align and seat properly. Just a needlessly poor design. Also the trim on the outside front around the door release button lifted and became unattached within less than a year, and we're gentle with it. Our old Sharp microwave was better quality and lasted 20+ years. I doubt this model will last much more than half that. Product design should improve over time, not regress. Disappointed.

It's the same wattage as our former microwave, yet performs much better. The only problem (full disclosure) was the film coating which came on it and had to be removed before it could be used -- the film was extremely difficult to remove. We called the manufacturer (Sharp) for advice, but it was clueless.
