It warmed our food quickly and was a nice size. We've had it just over a year (13 months to be exact) and the warranty has expired and now it's malfunctioning. It is behaving like there is metal inside the microwave (the scary sound and bright flashes), but we haven't placed any metal in the microwave. It seems dangerous to operate now so we're getting rid of it. Needless to say, we will not be buying another Sharp microwave.

My only complaint is that it does not phase out of existence when not in use, and the clock function for some reason is traveling backwards, so I have to eat before cooking which is wreaking havoc on my life.

The piece of plastic that goes around the button should totally go around the button because the upper piece tends to come away from the unit. I can see this breaking off in the future.
