This Blu-Ray edition simply offers the movie in better clarity than DVD. That is the only advantage of this over the DVD Special Edition release, which was loaded with behind-the-scenes bits. I know a lot of people don't bother with home video disc extra features, and I usually only watch those once, but this does not even have a menu or chapters. Most Mill Creek Direct produced discs are cheaply produced, without proper menus and with poor packaging. Still, if this is priced really low and you want to watch the movie with better clarity, it serves that purpose.

I remember watching this movie when it first came out, and let me tell you it's just as hilarious now as it was back then. The 4K ULTRA HD does show the age of some of the effects more, but it's a comedy so it shouldn't matter. It's a def must buy for fans Simon Pegg movies.

I had fairly low expectations for this movie since comedies aren't my genre of choice, usually. However, this one was not only funny, but thought provoking in several ways. Also, VERY British. They also did some interesting things with the zombie outbreak that I haven't ever seen before in a zombie movie. That was quite refreshing. Conclusion: If you want to have a good laugh while watching a good "birth of a hero" story, give it go! :)

Definitely not for kids under the age of 17-18 but for people who love zombies and comedy’s with alittle raunchy humor here and there this movie is perfect for you. I had my doubts but this was the first time seeing it as I was getting it for my girlfriend as a gift and I loved it!!! Wish I could give more stars.!

If you like to mix it up and laugh while you're watching a scary movie - then this movie is for you. It's set in London, with Shaun and his best buddy, Ed trying to save their friends and family from being eaten by hungry zombies. Definitely a must-have cult classic movie!

no, i know, zombies eating brains is not "canon" but this is a smart movie. a very fun ride as an average Joe guides his friends through the apocalypse. not a spoof on "Dawn", stands alone with well written story and characters you care about

This is a great comedy with zombies in the mix so much fun transfer of the 4k was very good love the characters even Ed so happy to have this in my collection worth the pick up

I never saw this film when it came out nor when it was released for viewers on cable and studious and viewers I just listen to watch this on the Blu-ray and I was fully entertain

Great deal on a classic Blu Ray movie! 'Shaun of the Dead' is a must own.

Shaun of the Dead is the first installment of the Cornetto Trilogy, aka the Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy, followed by Hot Fuzz, then The World's End, all written By Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg. Said trilogy is a must for anyone with a good sense of humor, and a wonderful introduction to the joy of British humor, even for those who don't usually like British anything. What's not to like? There's plenty of gore, a love story, the brand of humor that comes with the story of a grown man working a dead-end job and clinging to his youthful freedom, action, a great soundtrack, endless quotability, and astounding replay value due to recurring jokes you might not catch until the seventh time you see it. It's never dull or boring, and has sweet references to many zombie horror favorites without ripping anything off. This version is well fortified with special features that are actually entertaining, and don't spoil the movie. In fact, seeing many of the special features helps you realize how well the whole troupe works together as far as writing and acting. Buy now!
