    An Enjoyable JRPG Experience

This game is a long, tough, story-driven, strategy-heavy Japanese RPG. If that doesn't sound like something you would enjoy, you're probably better off purchasing another game. However, if that description appeals to you, then this game is a must buy. The characters are enjoyable and interesting, the voice-acting is pretty decent, and the music (especially the battle theme) is pretty darn catchy. The only negative of the game is that since some enemies are tough, grinding is necessary every once in a while.

    Breaking Records And Demonic Posteriors

As the original version was an improvement of the first Devil Survivor, Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker improves on the bunch of extras that Devil Survivor 1: Overclocked had that improved the original version. One of such improvements was gaining new demon fusion units as free DLC as new data comes in on a weekly basis through SpotPass. Another improvement is the voice acting, which is more-or-less better than Overclocked's, imo; what's more is that the music in the game is more clearer and satisfying to the ears. If you enjoyed the original Devil Survivor 2, then this game is for you as it's not just a simple 3D remake and with the new bonus chapter, you'll surely won't be disappointed! Heck, with an Atlus RPG like this, how can you be, right?

Being my first Shin Megami game ever I don't really know how I could make any justice to the game by explaining what it's all about. What I can objectively say is the battle system is really fantastic and so far the game's voice acting has been great. The battles are quite strategic and the game has a fantastic sense of upbeat, apocalyptic style in which I have been suck into. The game isn't perfect, and the biggest flaw is how cumbersome it can be to set a bunch of skills to four playable characters. I'm having a blast with this game. Totally surprised.

I bought this game because I had a 5 dollar gift credit that expired that day. I didnt know what the game was about or anything but it stood out to me. When i started playing i thought "Oh this is pretty good for buying it on a whim" But then as I progressed through the story it really started to stand out to me. After two weeks I finally completed the game. It wasn't too short i had just played it a lot within that time. At the end I really felt like the game was worth it. 10/10

If you haven't played the original game on ds, starting with this game is the best. If you have played, however, then this version is even better. The voice acting is awesome, the game mechanics are polished and much easier to use now, and the new story is just as good as the old one. If you are going to buy the dlcs, I highly recommend the macca one, since you can also grind exp with it, and get a lot of cash to fuse your demons. Also, don't forget the weekly spotpass.

A fine entry into the SMT series, definitely worth clearance price ; you're not going to find a new copy at this price anywhere, at least not easily. The story is captivating enough to keep interest stoked throughout the game's entirety, and the gameplay is excellent, as expected from an SMT game, and since its an SMT game, its story is independent and other SMT games aren't necessary to enjoy this experience

I started Devil Survivor Overclocked, but could made it about 10 hours in before quitting. The pacing felt a little off and the early game missions felt like more of a chore due to some poor objective choices. I'm glad to say that DeSu2: Record Breaker has fixed these things! It drops pretty rapidly into the action, and keeps an interesting premise throughout. It's a little on the easy side, but that shouldn't keep you from enjoying the game.

There's not much to say about the Devil Survivor series from Atlus that hasn't already been said. This is another great addition with some cool perks. Fantastic artwork, great demon fusing fun, good story and music. Get the boxed version for the extra goodies!

This is a great Shin Megami Tensei game! It changes the tone of the original games a fair amount but it plays wonderfully and there isn't anything else quite like it on the 3DS. A wonderful (and delightfully hard!) game for the 3DS!

This is a great game to have for any JRPG fan, and a fine addition to an Atlus library. Plays very similar to the first Devil Survivor. Not a difficult game to get into; Has a good story and good voice-acting to keep a gamer entertained.

This is a great Japanese SRPG (Strategy Role Playing Game) from Atlus. There is enough content to last dozens of hours and the difficulty level is just right to be challenging without being frustrating. Highly recommended!

This game is a remake of Devil Survivor 2 which came out originally on the DS. This game is a good remake and worth the purchase. There is less 3D than i would have liked but its a fun game still. Great buy for JRPG fans.

Atlus has been doing a great job recently of releasing fantastic J-RPGs in North America and this game is no exception. Great production value, great story, and tons of hours of gameplay.

This game has a classic feel to it, and if you are a fan of SRPGs, this is a good game to buy. If you played the original, it's debatable on whether or not this game is worth it, but I'd say buy it if you absolutely loved the original. Lots of content, fun to play, great for SMT and SRPG fans alike!

You'll probably like this one! But just because I say that, you DON'T need to play the first one to understand the story of this one, it's separate. Voice acting is a nice and welcome addition. I love Best Buy 'cause they make sure all their products stay in the shrink wrap and don't get damaged. Level ups are customizable (you get to choose which stats you want to go up) and that feels real nice. The demons you can equip and their skills are also decided by you. That mechanic where you get extra turns if you hit an opponent's weakness you get extra turns is here from Persona. You won't find yourself getting bored anytime too soon.

Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker is a remake of Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 that features the original story with better graphics, voice acting, multiple difficulties, and improved controls. If you were a fan of the original this I would pick this one up too.

After playing SMT IV, I didn't think I'd want to pick up another game in the series. The difficulty was just so crazy at the start it made me want to throw my 3DS out the window. And while this game stays true to the devastating defeats if one wrong move is made, the difficulty feels more smooth and half as punishing. I think the setting of this game is a lot cooler too, at least in my opinion. If you like Strategy RPGs with a twist and have a 3DS, I highly recommend checking this game out.
