I love Japenese Role Playing Games for the generation Xbox One.

The story seems fairly simplistic but the characters and gameplay is ok imo.

Gorgeous, a blast to play, and I’m so happy to see JRPGs on Xbox.

Haven't gotten to play much yet, but so far I like it; the Shining series characters are cool, the visuals, controls, etc., are all good stuff.

This is an excellent JRPG and a must have before it hard too get.

I have all the series to this game and it enjoy it very much.

My son was So excited to get this and he was not disappointed!

This game just has too many faults to recommend. For one, combat is overly drawn out with each and every battle and boss fights never seeming to end. Yes, I know about the breaking system, but it's not an easy thing to do and battles tend to run over a reasonable amount of time and be a very painful chore. The boss fights are the worse. Spend an hour trying to fight a boss only to be hit with an instant kill and have to start all over again. The AI of your team are not very good at keeping themselves alive which makes the endeaver all the more painful. There is no warp around the map to places you have been other than warping back to the main city. So, every time you need to get somewhere, get ready to walk through all the sections you already visited, over and over again. There is also really no guide and you are left figuring out everything yourself. Overall, this game has too many annoyances that seemed designed to lengthen the game but frustrates the gamer.

I never had any experience playing any of the Shining Resonance games but I picked this up on a whim as the Xbox was finally getting a JRPG and it seemed interesting. I've quite enjoyed my time with it and it gives me thoughts of a Tales game when I'm playing it. The combat system is very Tales like and that's not a bad thing. It's a lot of fun, there's ways to mix it up and make it more complex. You have relationships that each of your characters can build upon with the other characters either enhancing or detracting from your overall combat prowess and allowing certain combat maneuvers to take place. The art design is good and the gameplay is fun, there's just moments here and there that remind you that the game is actually older than it feels, but it's never enough to stop your enjoyment. If you want a good JRPG, especially on the languishing Xbox, I definitely recommend giving this one a go.
