This game is awesome. If you are at all interested in 2D platformers, try this game.

Haven't played the whole way through. Actually got a copy as a gift and returned the one I got. But so far so good. If you like this kind of game.

Shovel Knight is an awesome game you have to have in your video game library. The gameplay is challenging, but rewarding at the same time. The soundtrack is just beautiful and the various bosses throughout the level is a great addition to the game!!

This is an excellent love letter to the old 8 bit side scrollers. Go buy it now.

Sometimes it is stressful to play a game because games now can be too complex. It is nice to have simple yet challenging games you can play without worrying about not playing enough. Yup this is a fun stress free game. Great price and value.

This game is touted as 8-bit platforming perfected for the modern era, but if you want to be nit-picky it's actually most similar to 16-bit games with multiple scrolling backgrounds. But don't worry about technicalities - this is just a fantastic game, period. It's a platformer with some light RPG elements (e.g. you can choose to level up your life and magic gauges at various points), and it keeps getting better as Yacht Club Games releases new content. For example you can now download the "Plague of Shadows" add-on for free, which allows you to play through the game as one of Shovel Knight's enemies, Plague Knight. He has his own mechanics and storyline to follow, so it's almost like getting a sequel for free. Stop reading and buy this!

Nothing short of an amazing 8-bit side scroller. As if was made back in the day but available in modern times. Excellent action, music and level design. An instant classic!

Just when you thought you mastered the game it gets a little flustrating.

This game is so much fun and my new favorite 8-bit game. Wish Mario series would appear in 8-bit remastered glory. Until then, this game is great.
