This is (un)debatably the best way to play Shovel Knight....well if you own a 3DS that actually has 3D capabilities, and not the very confusing 3D-less 2DS.
The 3D in this game is amazing and definitely one of the best implementations of 3D I've ever seen on the 3DS.
The game itself is also exactly the same as it is on the other consoles. No compromised gameplay or features at all....Except it doesn't have the multiplayer game Showdown that the other versions have, but the added 3D is worth the trade off.
In addition to the amazing 3D of this version, Shovel Knight in general is one of the best indie platforming games out there and has a looot of content to enjoy so I highly recommend this! Oh and the music in this game by Virt and legendary Mega Man composer Manami Matsumae absolutely slaps.

This is debatable the best version of Shovel Knight purely for the amazing 3D effect. It has to be seen in person to be truly appreciated, and it is worth playing on 3DS for that reason.
