New weapons to learn, new aliens to defeat, new neighbors to harass, attack, or deal with. A lot of new terminology to learn and understand. You have to learn to play all over again, but after you get destroyed a few times you catch on quick. Great game.

The game didn't disappoint too much. I like the idea of the tech web and it plays similar to civ 5. Aliens are too powerful in the beginning and it is really luck of the draw whether they will attack you or not. Also wish they would allow you to stack more than one military unit on a square. As a longtime civ player I was not impressed, yet not disappointed. That says a lot. Definitely worth the buy.

Like all Civilization's games, it's addicting. By the time you know it, 3 hours have passed then 6 hours. It has some new interesting facets as well.

A good game in a similar vein to civ 5. THe base mechanics are great but there's a lot of room to explore and improve. Overall a very fun game.

Civilization: Beyond Earth is the newest Civ Game from Sid Meier. Personally, this is the new Alpha Centauri for me. The graphic is amazing, intriguing storyline, and innovative tech web. It might be overwhelming at first (like all 4X games), but once you gave it a go or two... you'll get the hang of it.

This game came quickly and I was very pleased. :D It was something that my best friend was looking for.

It takes some getting familiar with the new tech introduced in the game. Not in love with the game yet, but more game play may convert me.

If you know Civ 5, you know what to expect from this game which uses a tech web rather than a tech tree.

I loved civilization 5. I thought this game would follow in the footsteps of that game but to my shock it gets really slow pretty darn fast. You can not build a large empire and rule the planet. Too many penalties for building new cities. The aliens that are native to the planet make war with other civilizations on the planet impossible. You end up fighting the aliens before getting to the other player to attack. This new "Barbarian" aliens for another planet suck.

The mechanics of the game are familiar if you played civ v, but there's enough new stuff to keep you interested.

This is one of the better Civilizations that have been made. I haven't gotten too far into it, but I enjoy it.

This is a great game for people who like turn based strategy games. Very exploratorive.

I love this game. It is fantastic. There are some things that could be improved on but current just a vanilla game with no expansions and it is very entertaining as is.

I have played the civilization series since the original. I am a huge fan of this game. It has everything i expected. I have layed this so much since I bought it!

I've never thought turn based strategy type games would be as fun as real time but this is phenomenal! I've been playing at least 4 hours a day since I bought it. Definitely try this if you are on the fence.

This is a great new take on the Civilization game. The aspect of going to an alien world and starting over with new technology is a fun idea. Has lots of replay options and choices so each game is different.

I bought this game since it was on clearance. its your typical strategy game but on an alien planet....

Essentially same as Civ 5 just with aliens instead of barbarians and different tech. Still fun to play but I expected more. At least some nice story line or more elaborate victory endings than just some text and a picture.
