Great depth of field, bokeh and overall quality for the money. Highly recommend for anyone who's starting out or needs professional-grade photos. A few notable things though: 1/ Occasionally it's hard to get it in focus when using autofocus. But better than some horror stories on the internet. 2/ Heavy stuff. I'm not kidding! 3/ Not weather shield. Every lens has its pros and cons, so this is always a great choice for your crop sensor camera considering the flexibility it offers compared to DX prime lenses.

Lens is made for a asp-c sensor DSLR. Very sharp. Fast lens. Can achieve good shutter speed even at low light. Heavy piece of glass. Landscape, wide portrait.

I spent a very long time researching this lens and feel terrible about wasting so much money on other junk lenses. This lens replaces all the lenses in your bag and is a lens you always leave connected to your camera. The zoom ring is very smooth and is a fixed zoom lens that does not rotate in and out like other zoom lenses. I also own the sigma 17-50 f2.8 zoom lens and this one blows it away with quality and speed. The lens is a very heavy and long piece of glass and the motor is very quiet. Feels great in your hands. I highly recommend this lens for any Nikon camera and enjoy those amazing photos you will receive.

This lens is very sharp and in low light really amazing. The downside is that it doesn’t have Vibration Reduction or Sigmas Optical Stabilization. The lens is more for static photography and not for fast moving subjects in low light. By the way it is pretty heavy. Mounted on a Nikon D500 it weights over 5lbs both together. Results out weights the negatives though. Also bought this on sale. Get it since you’ll be paying close to three times the price if you go with Nikon own version. This lens blows away any kit lens for APC Canon or Nikon cameras. The noticeable increase in sharpness is staggering. Auto Focus is quick and quiet. I would recommend this lens for anyone who would like better pictures with any APC crop sensor camera.

This lens is great! It has quickly become my favorite. It does terrific in low light

I am sure if you have a crop sensor dslr then you have done a lot of research on this lens. I am using it professionally. It is amazing. Not rugged though. Baby it and it will do you very good.

Amazing lens! First thing that jumps out to you is the quality. You can feel it in your hands, the weightiness...its Performance? Wonderful, great for medium range subjects. Highly recommend this brilliant lens.

This is my second Sigma Art Lens. They have done a fantastic job with this series and I highly recommend any of them.

Sigma Art series lens are great lenses. You esentially get multiple prime lenses, at an amazing price. Photos pop, with this lens, and you would likely have to spend 1000 or more to get another brands comparable lens, and even then it wouldnt have an 18-35 variable range in prime. Does great in low light, and cant wait to try another art lens by sigma.

This lens is very sharp, but you really need to purchase the Sigma USB dock to calibrate it to your specific camera body.

This lens is sharp and pure magic it's a must have for any crop camera

This lens makes photos pop! Crisp detail images, saves editing time! Spent half what I would on the Nikor lens, and am extremely happy!

Lens was very good. Would rather have a prime 24 or 35 though.
