Silent Hill f is the newest entry in the series, which expands upon concepts seen in SH2 Remake, mainly the combat which now uses a stamina system, all with new moves to make things fresh. The story set 1960's Japan is very interesting and distinct from other SH stories. Its really scary when it wants to be and its the perfect next step for this highly-praised franchise.(9/10)

Slightly different vibes than most entries in the series, but by the time I was finished playing I really liked it. Be prepared to do more than one playthrough though, as much of the story remains hidden the first time through.

This is a great game overall, Not quite as good as the Silent Hill 2 remake IMO, but it is still very good.

I’m not giving it to one star because of the game itself. The game is actually really good. I highly recommend it. I’m giving her one star because of Best Buy. I swear I keep giving them way too many chances when it comes to pre order items and I don’t understand why I keep going back to pre-order from them, but my case was completely a messed up upon arrival. It looked like it was run over by something case completely crushed, disc was messed up. I wouldn’t recommend pre-ordering or having anything shipped from Best Buy.

Silent Hill F: A Haunting Return Carried by a Mesm

Silent Hill F delivers a haunting return to form for the legendary franchise. Set in 1960s Japan, the game’s atmosphere is soaked in dread—misty streets, creeping decay, and that signature unsettling silence that makes you constantly look over your shoulder. The visuals are stunning and grotesque in equal measure, with every corner whispering a mix of nostalgia and unease that perfectly captures the essence of Silent Hill.
The standout is the main actress in the Japanese language version. Her performance is mesmerizing—raw, emotional, and deeply human. She carries the story through layers of trauma and fear, yet her quiet perseverance pulls you in. Her portrayal isn’t just acting—it’s immersion. You feel every tremor in her voice, every flicker of pain and determination.
Gameplay-wise, Silent Hill F does stumble a bit. The combat feels clunky at times, and there’s perhaps too much action for a series known for psychological horror. Still, it’s forgivable—the developers clearly tried to evolve the formula, adding tension through struggle rather than power.
Overall, Silent Hill F is an eerie, beautifully tragic experience that blends classic psychological horror with a new cultural lens. It’s imperfect, but unforgettable.

The game is fantastic. It's a step away from the classic silent hill games, but it still feels like a silent hill game. The combat is fun and engaging, the story is pretty good, and the atmosphere is creepy.

This game isn't for everyone. The combat is kind of clunky, and you have to beat them game 3 or 4 times to get all of the story beats. The atmosphere, music, and story are all really good. If you enjoy Silent Hill games or Japanese horror, you'll enjoy this game.

The graphics and story were great. The combat was a little stiff and the enemy variety was somewhat lacking. Overall a good time if you can get past those two things. I put the combat on easy and the puzzles on hard. Enjoyed it more that way

I was late to buy and play through silent hill 2 remake. I loved that game soo much. Challenging gameplay great story and great graphics. I know that silent hill f is technically a new game but it still follows the same style of play and puzzle with beautiful graphics as well. I’m not super far into this game but I’m having a great time. If you love horror games(this is more psychological) the. You will love this game.

Love to see a unique and daring story in today’s age of gaming! It’s Silent Hill but very different at the same time, especially with the combat and some mechanics. But it’s great!

Some folks have claimed this is not Silent Hill, and I will concede that it's "different" but thematically it fits perfectly. Nice production values support a good, creepy story that strongly encourages replay to get the full story. I really liked it.

This game is very fun. It plays mostly like a traditional Silent hill. Creepy town, weird deformed monsters. Real world and an underworld multiple endings. A dash of nioh type combat to make it unique. Great graphics. Glad to see it back.

Triumphant Comeback for the Silent Hill Franchise

Genuinely such a spectacular game. It's incredible how much it stays true to being a Silent Hill game despite being set in a new town, Ebisugaoka, and being made so many years since the last game — it has me completely engrossed. Each playthrough is somehow more hyped than the last and it's been such a rewarding experience to play — I cannot recommend it enough. PS — Maybe an unpopular opinion because the targeting system is certainly a little funky, but now I wish every Silent Hill game was melee only — it feels so much more true to the player characters abilities and stories being told, or in the very least it's true to Shimizu Hinako.
