It's a really great blu-ray release of the movie. The colors are absolutely stunning and the resolution is great. The movie itself is fine. It's got the same energy of most 2000s horror remakes by being cruel and meanspirited. Despite all that, it manages to be pretty fun at times and that's all that really matters.

Descent remake, but not as good as the original Silent Night Deadly Night. Looks good, sound is Ok. Not much on features.

Silent Night is a fun and bloody little holiday diversion. Certainly, it fares better than most of the films in the Silent Night, Deadly Night franchise. And let's face it, Malcolm McDowell is always a hoot. That said, some of the characters are just flat-our ridiculous...particularly the main protagonist who literally changes her mind every single time someone actually agrees with one of her theories, like she has some form of virulent Investigative ADHD. Still, it's good (if thoroughly illogical) fun, and the Blu-ray sports solid audio and video quality. The extras are lacking, but this is really the kind of disposable good-time film that doesn't require much elaboration. You're not really gonna feel a need to delve into the production of this movie...it's just a decent time-waster.

i love christmas horror movies its your basic slasher flick but offers a alternative to the normal movies out for the season

My family was worried this movie wouldn't hold a candle to the original film. It completely stood on it's own.
