    Gene Kelly jumps in puddles like a 3-year-old and flips umbrellas like an old pro. Donald O'Connor (in my favorite number from the movie) actually dances on the walls. Cyd Charisse has 14 miles of legs and moves like flowing water. Debbie Reynolds isn't as annoyingly cutesy as usual. And Jean Hagan, as Lina Lamont, steals the movie from all of them. This movie is an hour and forty minutes of pure fun and, if you haven't seen it yet, you owe it to yourself to correct that oversight.

    This is one of the great movies of all time, and probably the best musical movie ever made. Many of the individual dance numbers ("Singin in the Rain," "Make 'em Laugh," "Moses Supposes...") are perfect gems. But unlike a lot of other movie musicals with great musical numbers, this one also has a great story. It's funny, it's charming, what more can I say. This is a great movie.
